A comfortable, private place with lush surroundings. Great value. Appreciated the small touches such as a variety of available toiletries. Marcus and son, Alex were lovely hosts. Travellers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. This simple accommodation is in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
Marian and Leo are great hosts. Marian is very sweet and helpful in every way. Leo makes a terrific breakfast each morning from the locally sourced fruits and vegetables. The only downside is that the road to the BnB is so steep that it is not possible to walk it each day, however Leo will provide a ride down to the beach or the local bus stop on the main road into town,
The view was stunning (unless you don't like airports) I chose this purely for distance of the walk to the airport(15 - 20 mins downhill) as I was leaving early morning and didn't want to use a taxi. A few tiny traditional bars close by with friendly locals (who took the time to teach me domino's!) The owner was friendly and welcoming which isn't always guaranteed in the Caribbean!
