I loved that my host Dr Sinclair was very attentive, friendly and extremely knowledgeable about this island. If you want stunning views and a peaceful little sanctuary , this is it. I quite enjoyed being out of town and I'd jog down the Mt Granby every other day for my morning exercise or in the direction of Gouvaye to sit on the beach and take in the Caribbean sea breeze to gently start my day.
The relaxed feel of this guesthouse helped me to settle in seamlessly, and I felt as if I was staying with old friends as opposed to people I had just met. Even the four dogs , two of whom are puppies, were extremely welcoming and friendly.
I really enjoyed my long conversations with the Dr about everything and anything. He is a great listener and a seasoned traveller who understands well what guests like and appreciate in terms of hospitality and comfort. Any request or comment I made was quickly acknowledged and acted upon for example I told the Dr that I was collecting a pin from each country I was visiting during my Summer vacation and he went out of his way to obtain a stunning Grenada 50th anniversary pin for me to add to my collection.
The size of the room was spot on for me, and I loved that it had a walk-in closet (something practically unheard of in the UK). The water pressure and temperature were ideal, and the shower cubicle was reasonably sized; in fact, a couple could cosily fit inside it to bathe. The piste de resisstance for me was the large bathroom mirror that spanned the length and bredth of one of the bathroom walls. The whole house, in fact, had several full-length mirrors that contributed to the light and airy feel of my room and the hallway area; these were also great for my several-times-a-day dress changes.
I was allocated 2 spacious shelves in the large American style fridge when I arrived, and cool filtered water was always available inside, which was pretty handy.
This Guest House offers private beach access to the Atlantic Ocean and donkey ride tours of the property. Guests can walk to Crochu and La Tante village centres, with shopping and dining.

Very quiet and lovely get away by the sea.
Good place to unwind.
Travellers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. This simple accommodation is in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
Marian and Leo are great hosts. Marian is very sweet and helpful in every way. Leo makes a terrific breakfast each morning from the locally sourced fruits and vegetables. The only downside is that the road to the BnB is so steep that it is not possible to walk it each day, however Leo will provide a ride down to the beach or the local bus stop on the main road into town,
The view was stunning (unless you don't like airports) I chose this purely for distance of the walk to the airport(15 - 20 mins downhill) as I was leaving early morning and didn't want to use a taxi. A few tiny traditional bars close by with friendly locals (who took the time to teach me domino's!) The owner was friendly and welcoming which isn't always guaranteed in the Caribbean!
