Higherlands was a very comfortable accommodation and Julie was a lovely host. My partner and I stayed for one night in a double room, with a private bathroom outside the room. The room was simple but comfortable, didn't have a TV, but that wasn't a problem for us since we arrived there around 9 pm and left the next morning. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, the room was quiet and dark, nice and warm. We had a great sleep, and woke up the next day with a beautiful view of the countryside out the window. The bathroom was right next to the room and only we were using it. Everything was very clean and to a high standard. We had great communication with Julie, and she kindly helped us find the concealed entrance to the accommodation. She also made delicious brews and full english breakfast!

Amazing property and the room was so unique. The little touches really make a huge difference.
Travellers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. This simple accommodation is in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
Sam was very welcoming and a great host, the house was super clean and had a lovely garden to sit in during a nice summer morning, there was space on the drive as well, Bathroom was well equipped and so was the kitchen but we didn't need to use it. Overall had a excellent stay and would 100% come back if in the area again.
Charming pub, nice selection of ales, live sports, friendly owners and locals. Parking onsite, shops and restaurants really close, quiet at night. Room was nicely done and really big, looks tiny from the outside but is huge once inside. Great find.
