Our stay at Bujtina Malaj was fantastic. It was a very cozy place, perfectly located to start our hike from Valbona to Theth the next day. Situated in a very picturesque mountainous area, the landscapes were beautiful.
Although this guesthouse doesn't have a restaurant for lunch or dinner, there is another guesthouse nearby, just a 10-minute walk away. The breakfast included in our stay was delicious!
The owner was very friendly and made us feel at home. He provided us with great support and directions for our route, and even prepared a sandwich for our excursion.
Without a doubt, we recommend this place 100%!

The property was close to the Valbone-Theth and Rosni Peak trailheads, and the room was new and clean, with everything we needed. The views of the surrounding village and mountains from the windows were gorgeous.
The restaurant where breakfast and dinner were served was lovely and cosy, and the home-cooked meals were fresh and delicious. I’m still dreaming about the quality of the fresh butter served with breakfast!
On top of that, the hosts were kind and accommodating, and the packed lunches were filling and just what we needed when hiking.
I can’t recommend this guest-house highly enough!

Great location, in the heart of the valley, and easy to find (from precise location picture sent by the host). Each room is on a separate floor, which makes for complete privacy and absolute quiet. Our room was on the top floor, and it is exactly like the pictures: wooden finish from top to bottom, with extremely comfortable mattress and linens, modern fully equipped bathroom, and great views. Last but not least, we got a superb reception from the hosts, from checkin to checkout, as well as a bountiful homemade breakfast served outdoors.

They also always had good tips for hiking routes. The rooms had everything we needed and the views were exceptional. We enjoyed tasty dinner in their restaurant twice. We had an amazing time at the Stonehouse. Lovely hosts who were always there for everything we needed and showed us several hiking tours. We enjoyed the tasty food, the nice garden and the interesting stories they told us about the valley. Definitely a perfect place to stay!
This was like having a lovely home stay experience. Our room was basic but adequate, and was good value for money. There was easy access to a comfortable balcony with a magnificent view. The food was plentiful and home grown and cooked by our very lovely hosts.They were helpful in finding transport to the Valbone trail head. It was overall a great experience .
Lovely host family that was really welcoming. Great location as it is a short walk from the town centre. Delicious dinner provided by the host for an extra 9 euros and they also provide packed lunch for a small fee if you are doing the hike to Theth the next day.
host family were very kind people. the dinner when we arrived was so tasty and they were very accommodating of our vegetarianism. we came to hike the valley to theth, and the place was maybe 30 mins walk to the start of the trail, so a good location. the host packed our breakfast up for us as we went early :) the place was homestay-style, so the bathroom was simple but everything was clean and we had hot water, so no complaints.
Lovely location, quiet, lovely host family. Nice common area and food was delicious. Family very helpful when we needed assistance and super welcoming!!
