Located in Marialva, Chalês - Maria Alva provides accommodation with private pool, free WiFi and free private parking for guests who drive. The owners were very friendly and welcomed us with some treats. The houses are well located and have excellent insulation, almost no need for air conditioning. They are very well equipped and the hygiene was excellent.

Also, since it's close to the hills, it's quite easy to go for a hike and be in communion with the nature. It's relatively close to "Passadiços do Mondego" which are an amazing experience. The staff was extremely nice and helpful.

Gorgeous property! The views are simply incredible and you get to wake up to birds singing. We stayed at the Marco house and it was very comfortable. D. Zilda was always willing to help, and the town of Penalva do Castelo was just a dream. Check out restaurants Recordo and Pizzeria da Lameira—great food!

Located between Mafra and Lisbon, Aldeia da Mata Pequena is a small rural village that was completely restored and transports visitors into the past in an untouched green landscape. We got a super unique and new experience staying here at this home. It felt like a home from a fairytale. The house was adorable and although it seemed quite old, it was extremely clean and obvious that it had been very well taken care of. The weather got kind of cold and we were able to use the heaters which worked very well. Our host was extremely kind and made sure we had everything to be comfortable. In the morning we even got fresh bread and we were provided some small food items when we arrived.
