Just 10 minutes’ drive from the northern city of Oulu, this cottage site is only 350 metres from Nallikari beach. Cross-country ski trails are easily accessible from the site. For reasons unexplained we got an upgrade on our cabin. Glorious! Sadly, we only stayed one night as our itinerary was set for Rovaniemi. This is the type of place where you want to remain for a full week or two. The facilities are top notch. The staff are wildly helpful. And they have a communal sauna. We will be back to take better advantage of this wonderful site.

Emolahti Camping is located in Pyhäsalmi. It offers a restaurant and a private beach by Lake Pyhäjärvi. Most units include a well-equipped kitchen and a private sauna. Wonderful! Beautiful place, perfect service, responsive staff, very tasty and rich Swedish breakfast table. Very good sauna, comfortable house, very warm and cozy.

Situated right by the Gulf of Bothnia, Camping Merihelmi offers a bungalow with private sauna, terrace with sea views and a fully equipped kitchen. The E8 Highway is 200 metres away. Great place close to lake. 2 bedrooms apartments with sauna. Car park next to apartments. Easy key code entry. Fully equiped kitchen including dishwasher.
