We saw the Aurora on the frozen lake, the owner was kind and let us feed his reindeers plus the house was so warm! Christmas time was peaceful even though people came and went at the next door. Hiking trails are close by. Petrol station, grocery store, Alko (liquor store) and a small outdoors shop are next door. One can if so wishes take a husky ride on a sledge at the Kilpisjärvi -lake or at the Tsahkal -lake. There are trails for snow shoes leaving just a few steps away from your cabin door. One can also take snowmobile tours on the ice of Kilpisjärvi -lake. The fell Saana and other smaller fells are close by waiting for you to conquer them. Sauna was great and bathroom spacious. The drying cabinet at the hallway was highly appreciated and used.
