Hotel Valle Lapland er staðsett við ströndina í Utsjoki og er með bar. Gististaðurinn er með sólarhringsmóttöku og útiarin. Amazing arctic sauna in the snow, nice room, good breakfast. Very friendly stuff. Peaceful vibe of the entire location in the middle of the forest, near the icy river.

Þetta sumarhús er staðsett í Lemmenjoki, nálægt Lemmenjoki-þjóðgarðinum og býður upp á verönd með útsýni yfir vatnið. Þetta hús er með eldunaraðstöðu, eldhúsi og stofu með flatskjásjónvarpi og arni. A M A Z I N G place that felt like home! We saw the Aurora on the frozen lake, the owner was kind and let us feed his reindeers plus the house was so warm! We collected so many beautiful memories that we hopes to be back in the summertime:)

Youth Center Vasatokka býður upp á gistirými í Inari. Þessi gististaður er staðsettur við ströndina og býður upp á aðgang að sundlaug við biljarðborðið, ókeypis einkabílastæði og ókeypis WiFi. Me and my kids liked this place so much! We definitely will come back once we are close to Inari. The centre is big and has many options for activities. It is located in a stunning location, directly next to the lake. There are chairs next to the lake where you can sit and observe Aurora mirroring in the lake. Unbelievable experience. The cottage was really big and quite well-equipped. The sauna is located in another building (not directly in the cottage), but no problem. The centre offers bikes, boats, sports equipment for football, minigolf, volleyball, ...for free. We used Kota as well and is perfectly equipped.

Lapinkylä er staðsett í Utsjoki og býður upp á grillaðstöðu. Þessi sumarhúsabyggð býður upp á ókeypis einkabílastæði, sameiginlegt eldhús og ókeypis WiFi. Very friendly and helpful owner. We didn't notice the time zone change and missed the only daily bus to Inari. The owner kindly and quickly found us a free ride with a car going south to Inari. It definitely saved us the day.

Such a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Sauna available all day, raindeers moving around the grounds and beautiful lakes and paths to explore.

Kilpisjärven Retkeilykeskus er staðsett í Kilpisjärvi, þar sem landamæri Lapplands eru að norðri og bjóða upp á veitingastað. Gestir hafa aðgang að sameiginlegu gufubaði og sameiginlegri setustofu. Dogs were very welcome, nice place and everything what you need just on site.

Arcticr Polar Lomakylä er staðsett í Kilpisjärvi og býður upp á veitingastað. Ókeypis WiFi er í boði í móttöku gististaðarins. Location is excellent. Christmas time was peaceful even though people came and went at the next door. Hiking trails are close by. Petrol station, grocery store, Alko (liquor store) and a small outdoors shop are next door. One can if so wishes take a husky ride on a sledge at the Kilpisjärvi -lake or at the Tsahkal -lake. There are trails for snow shoes leaving just a few steps away from your cabin door. One can also take snowmobile tours on the ice of Kilpisjärvi -lake. The fell Saana and other smaller fells are close by waiting for you to conquer them. Sauna was great and bathroom spacious. The drying cabinet at the hallway was highly appreciated and used.

This place exceeded our expectations! Whilst we didn’t expect that there is not going to be any staff around (as we travelled in winter the cafe was closed and staff is available thru the phone call only), but after having our private sauna and kota dinner experience we were immersed in wilderness of a place. Later in evening more guests came to the camping for the night and that put us at ease. We were travelling with a public transport and the bus left us right to the doorstep.

Lappean Lohi is a real fishing camp. The breathtaking setting is located just south of the confluence of rivers Tornio and Muonio. The accommodations are plain but very clean and comfortable. The great breakfast offers a large variety of choices with exceptionally good blackbread. There is a cafe that serves excellent coffee and fresh pastries all day, and also functions as a gift shop with locally sourced gift items, as well as items that you may have forgotten to pack with you. The staff is cheerful, friendly and remarkably accommodating: They connected us with a local historian, who joined us for a dinner day later. The chef and his very capable staff were able to serve a lovely dinner for 14 on very short notice. And then there is the Nature: the never ending daylight, the sound of the forever running ancient river, the wildflowers by the road that grow before your very eyes, the placid reindeer who are totally indifferent to your presence...
