Best way to enjoy the Southern strip of Koh Phangan, This place and a scooter. A kilometre away from the Haad Rin Beach, the walking street and the pier as well. The views from the balcony would slow you down and would want you to wake up early & catch a glimpse of the shining blue waters, the speedboats moving ashtray, the birds chirping around and the vehicles on the road downhill muscling past. One of those places where you can enjoy a short stay and fancy a long one. The host is friendly, prompt, well versed, has travelled far & wide, super enterprising and helps you out with sorting your trip around the island. Went out of his way to drop us at the pier when leaving. Top recommendation.

Offering an outdoor pool and water sports facilities, Baan View Talay Pool Villas is situated in Koh Phangan. Free WiFi is available . These villas are absolutely incredible. They are very private and ours had a lovely view of the hills and sea. The pool is perfectly sized for a family of 4 and although not heated was a very warm. We stayed in a two bed villa which was brilliantly laid out and gave us our own kids/adult spaces. The air con was amazing too as it was very hot on certain days. One of the best things about this place is the staff. Julianee is such a wonderful host and couldn't do enough for us. She happily ferried us to and from the village every day and organised day trips for us and taxis when we wanted to go further afield. Also - the breakfasts are incredible, especially the coffee which is better than any coffee I have ever had in my life. The small village is a ten minute walk away and is like a movie set. Not only does it all look beautiful but the restaurants are all really nice and cheap. We also ate on the beach at Buri Rasa a few times which was nice but our favourite place was Rasta Baby - a really cool bar with a tree house style restaurant serving delicious food. All in all I think Baan View is the best possible place you could stay in this area and definitely the best value for money. We have stayed at the Anantara here before which (although a better location in the middle of all the action) is nowhere near as nice as Baan View, gives you way less space and is about 4 times the price. ps - don't go to the Elephant ''sanctuary''near to the villa - they were chained up and looked utterly miserable and idiotic tourists were riding on their backs which they clearly didn't enjoy as they were clinging onto the railings desperately trying to not have to walk until the person in charge banged them on the head with a sharp spear. Awful place.

We had an incredible stay at this stunning villa on Koh Phangan! The location is perfect, just steps from the beach with a beautiful view of the sea. The swimming pool was warm and inviting, perfect for relaxing or playing with the kids. The villa is spacious and ideal for families or even two families wanting to enjoy a holiday together.

I was the very first guest to stay in this new little house where everything is brand new. The house is quite basic but has all the necessary comfort and equipment. It is very well located, away from the noise but only 2 minutes by motorbike from all the activities and numerous restaurants. Alex, the owner, was super friendly and helped me book boat tickets, a taxi, and a motorbike. He also gave me great recommendations on places to visit and where to eat on the island. The French neighbor is also very kind, and his dogs are amusing. I will definitely come back for a longer stay at the end of the year.

I spent my christmas days at Origen and couldn't imagine a better place. This place has a special energy and you can feel the passion and love, Noah invested there. He is always reachable for questions. The Yoga session in the morning of christmas was the perfection of all that. The bungalow is not huge, but has everything you need (even a small kitchen). I really loved the minimal design and an evening in the hammock is the best u can do. Everything is quite new.
