The area is popular for hiking and walking tours, in addition, bike hire and car hire are available at this holiday home. My stay at Jungle Rock was one of the highlights of my 1 month Sri Lanka trip. I stayed with a very kind Sri Lankan family who I became good friends with in only a short time. The simple yet comfortable cabin has beautiful views of the garden and a big waterfall in the distance, you can fall asleep to the sound of rushing water. The farm is well located for seeing Ella rock, nearby caves and just a short tuk tuk ride into town / railway station. The food was also some of the best I tried in Sri Lanka. Highly recommend this place for an authentic Sri Lankan experience!

Outside you are presented with lush and well cared for gardens (with lots of birds). Inside, everywhere you turn there is a new thing to discover (it’s a big like living in a beautiful and interesting museum). You are living on a small tea plantation in a colonial era home. The room was comfortable, bed very nice, water very hot. But perhaps the most meaningful thing is the connections we made to the owners. They care for you and they help you. We’ll be back!
