The warm hospitality of Mr Kim was an added bonus to our wonderful stay at Tiamo Pension. The host welcomed us, made us feel at home, and introduced us to the essentials of what we needed to know. The location is beautiful with all the amenities included, the hosts also kindly offered to attend to our laundry and have it pressed, we were most thankful. Situated in Gyeongju in the Gyeongsangbuk-Do region, with Poseokjeong and Gyeongju Najeong Well nearby, Muuun offers accommodation with free private parking, as well as access to a hot tub. What an exquisite house! We had the most amazing stay here. The house is very beautiful and has been built and designed with such care. Every detail has been thought through. It’s very quiet and peaceful for a relaxing stay. The bed is very comfortable and we slept very well. The tub and sauna are such a nice touch and the fire pit outside added to the bliss! The family who own it are the kindest people. We absolutely recommend this place and hope to return one day.

Located in Gyeongju, 25 km from Seokguram and 2.2 km from Gyeongju Station, Hanok Stay Ohneul offers air conditioning. Place was easy enough to find. Host was great and met us at the street to explain the parking rules and how to access the property etc. very friendly and helpful. Location is close enough but also away from the main drag. We walked to get groceries and there are plenty of restaurants. Buses are easy to get to the main historic sites too. Great traditional space place with the modern amenities. The heater floors were great for the chilly nights!

Situated within 11 km of Gyeongju World and 22 km of Seokguram, Hanok Stay SungHyeDang features rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Gyeongju. The host and the room were perfect! It’s on a quiet street about 7 min cab to the main town. We were able to walk to our hike on our 2nd day where our host recommended.

Hanok Dasi Bom 101, a property with a garden, is set in Gyeongju, 22 km from Seokguram, 1.8 km from Gyeongju Station, as well as 1.6 km from Cheomseongdae. We had a wonderful stay at Hanok Desi Bom 101. It was contactless but the host was very helpful and efficient in communicating with us via booking's chat/message site on how to get there: sent photos as well as help with directions (we were given written Korean directions to be shown to the taxi driver). It's about a 20 min taxi ride from Singyeongju Station. There is a bus stop across the street that takes you to the major tourist sites in Gyeongju such as Cheomseongdae Observatory, Bulguksa Temple and Seokguram Grotto, and it is walking distance from Daereungwon Tomb complex. This quaint accommodation is also close to restaurants and shops, and the main bus terminal. When I expressed my concern about not having an umbrella with rainy weather forecast, it was provided for us. All in all, our stay was a delight and I would recommend it to anyone!

Set within 11 km of Gyeongju World and 22 km of Seokguram, Wonhwaroo features rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Gyeongju. Breakfast each morning was delicious and the hostess was extremely accommodating. We had booked a tour of Gyeongju with VIator. The booking was cancelled and the hostess found us a taxi cab tour that we absolutely loved. She even negotiated a discount with the driver.

Located within 8.8 km of Gyeongju World and 22 km of Seokguram, B&G House provides rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Gyeongju. Excellent value for money, good location by the train station. Host was great, and Dante is a lovely dog. Breakfast also yummy and filling.

Located 12 km from Gyeongju World, Yasun Gallery provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. Perfect hanok experience. The host was super nice and made us very good breakfasts. Also, the house is really beautiful and quiet. Overall it was a very authentic and relaxing stay Even if it's not located in the immediate surroundings of the touristic spots of Gyeongju, it's rather easy to visit the town by bus and taxi. From the place it's however very convenient to hike to Namsan.

Boasting a garden, heated pool and mountain views, Hanok Stay Yeoyeo is situated in Gyeongju. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. Nice rooms in a marvelous looking hanok. It is very comfy and clean. Bed is large and nice. Bathroom is great. View from the room is beautiful The landlady is very kind and helpful. Will come again.

Another world pension, a property with a terrace, is set in Gyeongju, 7.7 km from Gyeongju World, 23 km from Seokguram, as well as 8.1 km from Gyeongju World Culture Expo Park. A spotlessly clean Pension in a lovely location with a dedicated, fantastic host. A very quiet location for those looking to unwind or experience a slower side to Korea, or a break after time in the bigger cities. Our room was large, and very well equipped, including small kitchenette, fridge, large TV, well equipped wet room, dinning table etc. It was spotlessly clean. The rest of the building we experienced (outdoor areas, garden etc) were also maintained to a very high standard. Outside at the property is a large decked area with seating overlooking a lovely wooded valley. There is a large parking area for those arriving by car. The hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful - nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend for travellers looking for something on the slower side for a few days. A couple of notes for potential guests: the property is in a more rural location, and so ideally needs a car or taxi for access. We used a taxi from Gyeongju which took 15/20mins and was reasonably priced. The Pension does not serve evening meals and so guests should either bring supplies or be prepared to travel to a local restaurant. These are not complaints! Just notes. The advert describes the accommodation well. We saw the pool, but travelling out of the summer season so this was not in use at the time. I’m sure it would be an excellent additional facility in the hot Korean summers! We would highly recommend this Pension!
