Located in the Gangwon Province, Heidi K. Haus offers accommodation with outdoor barbecue facilities, green lawns and children's playground. Free WiFi and free private parking are available on site. We stayed four nights, with day trips to the Gangchon Rail Park, Alpaca World, and Nami Island. This place was recommended by friends and I'm so glad we decided to stay here. John and his wife were really kind and took very good care of us. Rooms were clean and neat. Hot water flowed freely during bathtime and we drank cold water straight from the tap. For the most part, we felt like we were visiting grandparents who kept feeding us. We skipped the Vivaldi Ski Park only to discover Pallbong-san was closed for the winter, but John got us four gimbap, brought us to a nearby service road up a small peak, and sent us on a short hike (that incline!). We still got to muck around in the mud and leaves on the way up. Our sons (9 and 7) enjoyed the outdoors, helping John build campfires, playing with his wife's dog, and generally just running around the property screeching like banshees and dipping into John's store of firewood and kindling as he looked on indulgently (city kids don't get campfires much). The charcoal barbecue most reviews mention was a highlight, as was (for me anyway!!) cooking kimchi ramyeon with actual kimchi in a pot on a stove in a proper pension in the Korean countryside. I saved the receipt from our trip to the mart to buy ingredients too, it's going into my journal. Thank you John and Mrs Lee for your hospitality, we will not forget it. p/s For runners, there's a short out and back - just follow the pavement that starts at one of the roads in front of the property (the road after the tunnel, you'll see when you get there) to the end. A round trip took us about 40+ minutes? We called it 6plus-7km. A pleasant enough route.

Terrace on the Cloud is located in Daegwallyeong and offers self-catering units with a terrace and free WiFi. A continental breakfast is available each morning at the holiday home. Howard the host made our stay very pleasant, there is nothing that he would not do to help us. I felt sorry for our friends that paid twice as much as us to stay at the resort and miss out experience that Howard was able to gave us.

The size of the appartement, the ocean view, the équipement, the cleanness and the reactivity of the staff when booking and after the booking. They make your life easier!

Situated in Pyeongchang, 46 km from Pyeongchang Olympic Plaza, Gilson Story Pension features accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. The host was so welcoming and helpful! We felt so at home here.

Situated in Yangyang, 300 metres from Jukdo Beach and 1.5 km from Ingu Beach, 양철지붕위의 고양이Cat on a Hot Tin Roof offers air conditioning. Unique little apartment, original atmosphere. Well-decorated and very friendly place.

Set 10 km from Lordhills Golf and Resort, Forest of Color Pension offers ski-to-door access, pool with a view and air-conditioned accommodation with a balcony and free WiFi. Very kind people, thoughtful considerations for kids, clean facilities, a variety enjoyable activities in the area

Set in Hoengsong, 12 km from Cheongwoo Golf Club and 16 km from Oxfield CC, Grace River House-Block B offers a garden and air conditioning. Perfect location with great vieuw on the river. Very comfortable house with large living and plenty balconies. The house was very clean and roomy. The host is very kind and does everything to make the stay easy and pleasurable.

Situated 2.6 km from Daejin Beach and 2 km from Donghae Central Market, Magenta in Donghae features air-conditioned accommodation with views of the sea and free WiFi. This is a romantic place to stay, a perfect kind of hotel for a couple (unfortunately, I was alone on the weekend I went). The best thing about the room I stayed in was the ability to open the windows and listen to the ocean all night (the waves just across the road from the hotel). The room was cute, and obviously thought had been put into decoration and layout, and the in-room kitchen area was key for slow breakfast time.

Featuring garden views, Sisilli Pension features accommodation with balcony, around 24 km from Pyeongchang Olympic Plaza. The host is super friendly and the environment is great. We had a great holidays there. Btw, the homemade rice cake from the host is delicious!
