We stayed four nights, with day trips to the Gangchon Rail Park, Alpaca World, and Nami Island. This place was recommended by friends and I'm so glad we decided to stay here. John and his wife were really kind and took very good care of us. Rooms were clean and neat. Hot water flowed freely during bathtime and we drank cold water straight from the tap. For the most part, we felt like we were visiting grandparents who kept feeding us. We skipped the Vivaldi Ski Park only to discover Pallbong-san was closed for the winter, but John got us four gimbap, brought us to a nearby service road up a small peak, and sent us on a short hike (that incline!). We still got to muck around in the mud and leaves on the way up. Our sons (9 and 7) enjoyed the outdoors, helping John build campfires, playing with his wife's dog, and generally just running around the property screeching like banshees and dipping into John's store of firewood and kindling as he looked on indulgently (city kids don't get campfires much). The charcoal barbecue most reviews mention was a highlight, as was (for me anyway!!) cooking kimchi ramyeon with actual kimchi in a pot on a stove in a proper pension in the Korean countryside. I saved the receipt from our trip to the mart to buy ingredients too, it's going into my journal. Thank you John and Mrs Lee for your hospitality, we will not forget it. p/s For runners, there's a short out and back - just follow the pavement that starts at one of the roads in front of the property (the road after the tunnel, you'll see when you get there) to the end. A round trip took us about 40+ minutes? We called it 6plus-7km. A pleasant enough route.

Howard the host made our stay very pleasant, there is nothing that he would not do to help us. I felt sorry for our friends that paid twice as much as us to stay at the resort and miss out experience that Howard was able to gave us.

Située à Sokcho, à seulement 2,1 km de la plage de Mulchi, la Casa Seorak Bed and Breakfast propose des hébergements avec vue sur la mer. L'accueil était très chaleureux et la vue sur le soleil levant imprenable. Notre hôte se met en quatre pour rendre le séjour agréable. Ses recommandations de restaurants étaient exceptionnelles. La proximité de Seoraksan est très appréciée.

Situé à Yangyang, près des plages de Jukdo et d'Ingu, le Yangyang Ocean Stay est un établissement récemment rénové doté d'une plage privée et d'un jardin. The size of the appartement, the ocean view, the équipement, the cleanness and the reactivity of the staff when booking and after the booking. They make your life easier!

Situé à Pyeongchang, à 46 km de la place olympique, le Gilson Story Pension propose des hébergements avec connexion Wi-Fi et parking privé gratuits. The host was so welcoming and helpful! We felt so at home here.

Situé à Yangyang, à 300 mètres de la plage de Jukdo et à 1,5 km de celle d'Ingu, le Cat on a Hot Tin Roof propose la climatisation. Unique little apartment, original atmosphere. Well-decorated and very friendly place.

Situé à 10 km du parcours de golf et complexe Lordhills, le Forest of Color Pension Il propose un accès skis aux pieds, une piscine avec vue ainsi que des hébergements climatisés avec balcon et... Very kind people, thoughtful considerations for kids, clean facilities, a variety enjoyable activities in the area

Situé à Hoengsong, à 12 km du club de golf de Cheongwoo et à 16 km d'Oxfield CC, le Grace River House-Block B propose un jardin et la climatisation. Perfect location with great vieuw on the river. Very comfortable house with large living and plenty balconies. The house was very clean and roomy. The host is very kind and does everything to make the stay easy and pleasurable.

Situé à 2,6 km de la plage de Daejin et à 2 km du marché central de Donghae, le Magenta propose un hébergement climatisé avec vue sur la mer et connexion Wi-Fi gratuite. This is a romantic place to stay, a perfect kind of hotel for a couple (unfortunately, I was alone on the weekend I went). The best thing about the room I stayed in was the ability to open the windows and listen to the ocean all night (the waves just across the road from the hotel). The room was cute, and obviously thought had been put into decoration and layout, and the in-room kitchen area was key for slow breakfast time.
