Super local and authentic , no other tourists for miles 😃. The host was amazing Mr. Diu is a great person and super friendly. He welcomed us by showing how the house worked specially the karaoke and tv system! Then he went above and beyond, he drove us to the supermarket we bought great wagyu and then he cooks bbq and we had a lovely dinner! Thanks Diu !

Asuka no yado-明日香の宿- is a recently renovated villa in Asuka, where guests can make the most of its free bikes and garden. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. It's spotless clean and everything so well organized. We rent the car going there and it's very easy to locate, and parking is convenient, just in front of the property. Not sure about the public transportation though if we don't have the car. We enjoyed our stay a lot and will come back again.

The host Ayaka was very hospitable! She arranged to meet us at a nearby supermarket to buy ingredients to cook on the traditional fireplace and then led the way to the property which is located in the primeval forest of Nara. She then showed us how to start the charcoal fire for grill and hotpot. The futon beds were very comfortable, perfect for a good rest after a sumptuous meal around the fireplace, and a good soak in the tub.

28 km from Subaru Hall, 貸切宿 さつき別邸 is a recently renovated property situated in Gojō and features air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. Unbelievable little gem in a properly historic and preserved town. You have 400 years of history here, kaiseki restaurants and the house itself is impeccable with everything you can expect to find in a house vs hotel, i.e. laundry, fully equipped kitchen (for those who want to fry some wagyu yourselves), inner courtyard, etc. I stumbled upon it by random chance in between Koyasan and Osaka and im so glad I did - Gojo is amazing and this house is perfect to experience it.

Fabulous apartment. Modern, super clean and spacious. It was great to have three bedrooms, all having comfortable beds and a heat pump in each room. Very well equipped kitchen, including extra condiments which was much appreciated. Great shower and two toilets was a bonus. A few minutes walk from Nara station, which has a supermarket, restaurants and a chemist on the lower level. Only 5 minutes walk to the main tourist shopping street that leads up to Nara park. About 30 minutes walk to Nara Park. Being close to the railway line didn't bother any of us, we all slept very well. Would definitely stay there again.
