Located in Kyoto, 1.1 km from Nijo Castle and 1.7 km from the centre, Rinn Shiki Juraku provides air-conditioned accommodation with free WiFi, and a garden. Absolutely loved the character and charm of the hotel, the facilities, the lounge area for breakfast/evening drinks, ease of use of the washer/dryer that was there. The hotel was in a quiet residential section of Kyoto, yet access to Nijo Castle, the Imperial Palace and downtown Kyoto was very easy and within a 15 minute walk. Access to the train stations and Uber/Taxi's were equally easy. Amazing local restaurants within walking distance of the Hotel - highly recommend Daigan around the corner for an amazing sushi with an engaging/entertaining/welcoming chef.

In the Nakagyo Ward district of Kyoto, close to Kyoto International Manga Museum, 谷町君・星屋旅館・神泉ノ宿 二条城 has a garden, free WiFi and a washing machine. The property was spacious and had all the amenities we needed as a family. It was clean and tidy and secure. The staff cleaning and looking after the property were friendly and very helpful. We had a problem with the AC and they sorted it out immediately.

In the Ukyo Ward district of Shimo saga, close to Arashiama Bamboo Grove, 谷町君・星屋・談山旅館 京都嵐山 has a garden, free WiFi and a washing machine. The staff waited for us to arrive and assist us with check-in even though we forgot to update them on our arrival timing. The room itself was really nice and comfortable, facilities and heating was really good. Staff was very friendly and the interior design of the room was very traditionally Japanese.

In the Higashiyama Ward district of Kyoto, close to Kiyomizu-dera Temple, Rinn Tsukinowa has a garden and a washing machine. great location. Close to popular attractions. clean house that has everything you need. Highly recommend.

Accommodation in a townhouse close to a central train station from which you can easily reach all the sites in Kyoto. The English-speaking host helps and gives detailed information about all the interesting areas in the city, including maps, brochures, recommendations, and everything else that can be thought of to improve the experience. The house itself includes comfort accessories and even games and books, wherever possible a reference with a humorous caption.

Set in a building with a garden, Inari Ohan is a renovated traditional Japanese-style holiday home located in Kyoto that provides free WiFi. Narita Ohan is a very nice place to stay! We enjoyed our stay in Koyomi house. To be honest, I even was disappointed that we booked a hotel in Osaka, I would prefer to continue staying in Narita Ohan and connect from Kyoto by train every single day planned to be spent in Osaka. Anyways, we liked the house: it had every single thing required during the travel. Especially we enjoyed the washing machine as we have a toddler. Also me and my toddler we used futon while my husband and elder son stayed upstairs in the bedroom. Futon was a nice experience as toddler couldn’t roll away at night. The location is really good as it’s close to two stations: Inari and Fushimi Inari, so you practically can get anywhere easily. Also there are plenty of convenience stores in walking distance, so we could get groceries. In addition temples located on Inari Mountain are very close if you dare to climb the mountain 🤣 we did it with a stroller and sleeping toddler inside 🥵 So if we decide to visit Kyoto in future Inari Ohan would be in the list of the hotels for consideration.

BenTen Residences offer a Japanese machiya accommodation in the heart of Higashiyama, Kyoto. Yasaka Shrine is 7 minutes on foot, while Kiyomizu Temple is a 14-minute stroll. It was gorgeous and so beautifully Japanese! Our family had loads of room to spread out. The bathtub was a dream, and the showers were great too. I loved the mix of old with new. Beautifully done! The location was walkable to everything but off the beaten path too. Perfect!
