The host put in the extra effort to make sure we were comfortable and went out of her way to get us additional kids-safe mosquito repellent

We utilized the BBQ on 2 of the 3 nights we stayed and it was quite nice to have. The view while grilling of the volcano was really nice. The home was clean and the kitchen and dining area was quite large. There is a washing machine that also dries the clothes which made it nice to not have to pack so much. The tub was quite sophisticated where you can set the temperature and it would automatically fill. It is good to note that the home is located in the geo park so there are no grocery stores nearby so it is good to get your BBQ supplies and food before arriving to the home.

We travelled to Kurokawa onsen Mori No Ki Ki by driving from Kumamoto, it took us about 2 hr. The staff (or the owner) was so kind and willing to facilitate and keen to support us nicely. We were so much impressed and appreciated. The house was so clean, the onsen was good. Home made bread was excellent. We suggest the visitor should come before the evening as to see the sign clearly. The sign showing the accommodation name a bit small comparing to the others, so you may miss when it is dark. The rest are excellent, if you like peace and relax with warm heart, you may like this one.

Due to super heavy rain, we needed to change our plan of next spot. The host sent us several suggestions even we have already left! Dinner portion is more than enough. A really tasteful and satisfying dinner! And the house itself is perfect for family especially having kids. Lots of space for kids burning their energy! Perfect!
