We spent an absolutely fantastic week at this villa (2 adults, 4 kids). It’s spacious, clean and well-equipped, close to the beach and pools and a short taxi ride (or walk, though it’s a bit of a bumpy ride with a stroller) from Santa Maria. The host (JC) was extremely helpful with offering guidance and general assistance if we needed something, and it’s clear that he cares a lot for the villa and keeps it in good condition. The villa area in the resort was not crowded, so all in all a perfect alternative to the bit more chaotic and bustling all-inclusive experience.

This is a lovely villa in a fabulous location, with its own pool as well as the use of the main hotel pools and other facilities. The beaches were beautiful and also surprisingly quiet; the sea was a bit rough sometimes but our three boys loved it - close supervision required though! The pools and sea were warm enough when we stayed. We opted to stay self catering; Andrew was very helpful with the location of the best supermarket where we stocked up on everything we needed for the villa; and he also gave us some great restaurant recommendations in Santa Maria. The hotel didn’t seem that busy even though it was Easter school holidays, though we didn’t eat in any of the hotel restaurants as there were so many great ones in Santa Maria. Taxis into Santa Maria were easily arranged when we didn’t want to make the 45 minute walk there.

Located in Santa Maria, Self Catering Villas with Pools at Dunas Beach Resort offers an outdoor pool and a restaurant. Free WiFi is available at the reception . Amazing place to stay. Everything is as described. Private pool was the best! It is small and you can't swim but that wasn't what we needed. For us it was enough. Good place to relax and chill after sunbathing. Good contact with the owner. Fast and easy check-in. We really enjoyed our holidays!
