Cabañas Mahatua, a property with a garden, is situated in Hanga Roa, 1.5 km from Playa Pea, 1.5 km from Pea, as well as 18 km from Ahu Tongariki. We booked on very short notice, we got picked up at the airport and after our stay got dropped off again at the airport. The house is very big and has room for 4 people with a full kitchen. The bed was very comfortable. It is only 10 - 15 min walk to the center or the museum. It is very quiet, we enjoyed our stay very much and would stay there again next time.

Situated just 500 metres from Playa Pea, Cabañas Kitai features accommodation in Hanga Roa with access to a private beach area, a garden, as well as free shuttle service. I visited Rapa Nui for two nights in December 2024 and Kitai Cabanas was really the best place to stay and made my short trip wonderful. The hosts are lovely persons and make the guests to feel welcome. Even before arrival communication was great and all questions have been answered quickly. Pick up at the airport was included and drop off at departure as well. The cottage is spacious, clean and a fully eqipped kitchen (which I did not use though, as Kitai Cabanas is next to many good restaurants). Water dispender is in the room, which was convinient. Room, bath and kitchen have been clean and I had a nice terrace with garden view. There are many lovely cats arround. Bed was comfortable. Wifi worked well. I booked also an island tour with the hosts and Kevin is an excellent guide. Very knowlegable about the history and culture of Rapa Nui.
