RiverHill Hideaway features a private beach area, as well as accommodation with a kitchen in Monkey Fall, 7.6 km from Cahal Pech. Loved everything about our stay here, it was pure perfection. If it’s available, do not pass up the opportunity to experience it. The lodge is beautiful and so well designed and presented, with lovely homely touches, clean spacious shower room, comfortable bed and bedroom with cracking aircon, great outdoor seating area, in all just cannot fault it. Communication with Hadas/Dusty was spot on, Hadas also arranged for us to do bird watching and cooking onsite with Flora, both of which were great experiences. On arrival we were met by Willy and Stinky who are both adorable and so friendly, they spent a lot of time with us when we were there! Willy was also a great swimming buddy in the river. Facilities in the lodge were second to none and also catered for our unstated needs! Fully stocked kitchen and a bonus of running bottled water. Having the river there to both cool down in and sunbathe by was a bonus and well used with the humidity at the time we stayed. The location was perfect for us, far enough from town to be remote and only a few mins drive into civilisation. Albert, the main man on site in the day, was lovely and friendly and we had some good conversation with him. The security here is also good, with an electric entrance gate and non intrusive cameras, but Willy and Stinky were the best security, making sure you knew about any movement even remotely near the property! They also slept outside our room on a night, ready and waiting for a breakfast treat in the morning! So cute. If you’re not a dog lover though, they won’t bother you, so please don’t be put off by them being there.

Boasting garden views, Alma Del Rio Eco-Comfort on the water offers accommodation with balcony, around 6.1 km from Cahal Pech. Everything was beautiful! We especially loved the living room area with the view on the tropical garden, great spot for bird watching. Hadas was lovely and helped us have an amazing stay, with great day trips and excursions. We loved the Tikal day trip as well as our bird watching experiences with Andy, great guide that we recommend. Thank you for making our stay unforgettable 😊

Everything. Melanie, Larry and the team treated us more like family than guests. They organised all our trips and activities, at no extra cost, even after we changed our plans. The location was perfect, like an oasis in the jungle, the pool was fantastic and the room was very tastefully decorated with everything we could need.

The owners are awesome & helpful with great recommendations. Perfect location for tours of the ruins and caves. The property was beautiful

Hummingbird Rest a fully equipped cabana in subtropic garden, a property with a garden, is set in San Ignacio, 15 km from El Pilar, 26 km from Barton Creek Cave, as well as 28 km from Actun Tunichil... Hummingbirds on your patio are a great way to wake up and go to sleep. The locations close to town but not too close. We had a rental car and felt the vehicle was safe from both other traffic and people. There are multiple places for food or if you want to cook the cabins have a full cooking setup. Excellent! Also check out the grounds and admire all the hard work put into creating this hummingbird haven.

Situated just 20 km from Barton Creek Cave, Kane Villas - Mountain Pine Ridge provides accommodation in San Ignacio with access to pool with a view, a garden, as well as full-day security. It was extremely clean! I ve never seen such clean airbnb. The area is very pretty and hosts were waiting for me till late evening (we were late due to tough road - be preapred) . Barbeque devices available near the swimming pool.

Situated in San Ignacio in the Cayo region, Family Suite @ Mahogany Hall has a patio and river views. it was like stepping back in time to a quiet colonial home with the ever-present sound of the river and birds in the background. The food was delicious and the staff was very attentive. The family suite was MORE than we needed for our family of 6. It was fabulous to have so much room to relax and spread out

Located in San Ignacio, 1.4 km from Cahal Pech and 17 km from El Pilar, La Rana provides air-conditioned accommodation with a balcony and free WiFi. This holiday home has a private pool and a garden. The pool was such a treat. Everyday after exploring it was to come back and take a dip. Quiet neighborhood, close to lots of great things. Definitely recommend having a car rental. It is walking distance to town but it’s on a hill.
