Staff were attentive to every tiny detail of our stay (they even cable managed our charger cables for us and got my husband a birthday card) and helped us with sightseeing and restaurant recommendation/reservations. The food was so great, the snacks, drinks, bed, the bathroom, amenities, the garden, it was all perfect. Exactly what you would expect for such a highly rated accomodation in a place that truly values hospitality and excellence.

The place was fantastic for our family of 6. We were looking for a machiya that could fit all of us and still had the same service provided as a normal hotel (ie: amenities, house keeping, meals...etc). This was exactly what I was looking for. The layout of the machiya is great with bathrooms on both floors. Although the place is over 100 years old, the renovation was very modern yet retained traditional elements. Service was also fantastic. We had a wonderful welcome tea ceremony and everything I requested before the stay was also all ready for us. The daily breakfast and the kaiseki meal were also excellent. The location was very convenient. Overall, I cannot rave about this hotel enough. Thank you to the Kyoisuke team for making our stay memorable and wonderful!

It was an amazing property and furnished very nice. We enjoyed the rooms, bathroom, living room, pyjamas ( haha ) and eveything. If we return to Kyoto, we will not stay at any other place. Rinn Tsukimowa impressed us very much ! It is a high quality place. I highly recommend!
