It is one of a kind experience! The kindness of the owner and the excitement to share his heritage with you is something I have never experienced (and I travel all over the world). When you stay there you feel like you are at home, I didn’t even leave the place for a while because I wanted to explore every corner of this house. So traditional, so unique. So much history. Everything you could possibly need for an amazing comfortable stay. From the moment the owner met us and showed around the house, told us the stories of his predecessors and fed us some sweets to the traditional bath and sleeping on the traditional and comfortable mats, having the kitchen and heated floors. And the location is absolutely perfect! Book this place and you will not regret it!!

This place is absolutely fantastic and probably our top 2 spot of our 3 weeks across Japan and many ryokans, airbnbs and hotels so that is a great compliment. Lovely and quiet neighbourhood for a restful sleep. I love the little road it's on and we met a really nice Japanese lady there on a bike, as well as a cat!
You have an entire well-equipped and beautiful traditional Japanese house to yourself with modern amenities, and the price/value is great considering you could even stay here with more than two people. The host picked us up from the station which was very kind and helpful.
The futon was one of the most comfortable ones we have slept on, even suitable for "soft" Westerners.
It's in walkable distance from some great temples and restaurants + cafes.
Highly recommend booking this when you're staying in Kanazawa!

Amazing home, large and very comfortable, with several different bed options, all required amenities, extensive heating or aircons depending on the needs, totally quiet, within 10 min to all key sights - was so convenient that was tough to get kids out. Definitely the place to come back!

The use of a digital lock wasa bit fiddly but gave so much privacy. You could leave by just closing the door without having to check out!
the house was generously spacious with a dining area and hall where the family could gather and that was great.
The townhouse was comfortable though a little cold but it had great airconditioning in the rooms. the kitchen was well equipped including a steam oven. After getting the hang of it, found it better than microwave!

They have many bathrooms, a lounge room and a small kitchen. I was staying alone that night so they upgraded me to a private room for no cost. They also offered to drive me to the bus stop, I found it very kind and thoughtful. The family is very kind, the place is very clean and the environment is very cozy, I am very glad I visited them.
I love this secluded hotel in the mountains! The hotel has a retro style but is very clean. The meals are included and are excellent. During my stay, I had the onsen practically all to myself and I enjoy the outdoor onsen looking out into the forest the most!
Everything was clean and nicely put together! The owner is very very kind and shared some nearby restaurants and way to Ainokura. The hostel is located very near to the bus station. The toilet and shower room were very clean and the room was spacious! The owner also had a heater in the shower room, which I thought was so thoughtful. Would definitely stay here again if I’m visiting!
Room has all you need, full bathroom, ammenities, air conditioning, it's very clean, and all the staff is always nice and friendly. The hotel is next to a shopping mall and another shops and restaurants. A very convenient place to stay at Fukuno.
