Plenty of room for the three of us. It was great to stay in a place that was more traditional. The place was still quite close to shops and restaurants.

Hitty, the host, was very gracious and welcoming, presenting us with some local snacks. His wife had also made beautiful ikebana displays in the house.
He then showed us around his machiya, which kept the steep stairs, tatami floors and shoji walls typical of a townhouse in centuries-past Kanazawa. Fortunately for us the shoji flooring was heated and ac was installed in all rooms. There was a tea cabinet with an ecletic collection of cups and our own means to brew matcha and hojicha, (roasted tea). We also liked the large soaking tub in the wet room, felt very luxurious to have a bath!
Hitty also showed us his ancestral heirlooms. He kept in communication before we arrived and offered to make any dining reservations if we required them.
In short, we liked our stay a lot.

Beautiful traditional home in a wonderful location close to Omichi market and the train station. The bathtub can fit 2 and their is a large fridge. The futons are high quality and comfortable and there is a toilet both upstairs and downstairs which is a plus. The garden is beautiful and the neighbourhood is quiet. Easy to walk to restaurants, bars, and to sightseeing in beautiful Kanazawa. Or and property manager is wonderful...kind and helpful. Highly recommend!

Excellent location and very spacious house for our family. The facilities were very clean and comfortable. Check in was simple steps and easy. We particularly liked the washing machine - which surprised us as it was a washer & dryer and made it super easy for us to clean and dry our clothes in the very hot summer days! Great for families or large parties, holiday homes are privately owned accommodation, available for long or short-term rental. These homes are furnished and equipped with kitchen facilities for self-catering, although breakfast may be offered as an add-on. These properties have their own independent front door, which makes them different to apartments.
Fantastic hosts, very welcoming and an amazing place to stay. Very clean and tidy. The traditional Japanese breakfast was delicious. Would highly recommend staying here.
They have many bathrooms, a lounge room and a small kitchen. I was staying alone that night so they upgraded me to a private room for no cost. They also offered to drive me to the bus stop, I found it very kind and thoughtful. The family is very kind, the place is very clean and the environment is very cozy, I am very glad I visited them.
I love this secluded hotel in the mountains! The hotel has a retro style but is very clean. The meals are included and are excellent. During my stay, I had the onsen practically all to myself and I enjoy the outdoor onsen looking out into the forest the most!
Everything was clean and nicely put together! The owner is very very kind and shared some nearby restaurants and way to Ainokura. The hostel is located very near to the bus station. The toilet and shower room were very clean and the room was spacious! The owner also had a heater in the shower room, which I thought was so thoughtful. Would definitely stay here again if I’m visiting!
Room has all you need, full bathroom, ammenities, air conditioning, it's very clean, and all the staff is always nice and friendly. The hotel is next to a shopping mall and another shops and restaurants. A very convenient place to stay at Fukuno.
