Jacuzzi with a view. Hot water springs are everywhere in Iceland but having one with such a view makes up for all the things that we may miss from the place. Adequate towels, clean bed linens and decent kitchen with utensils is all that we expected and was delivered. Yes, it's a bit dated but that was the charm of the place. Besides we were there for a short duration and didn't care the decor. The dining room and table was huge for our big group of 8 people to socialise over dinner.

Romantic wooden bungalow from the '70, very old style, no TV, no wifi, cozy atmosphere.

Beautifully located in the middle of nowhere, wonderful silence in the surroundings
Great for families or large parties, holiday homes are privately owned accommodation, available for long or short-term rental. These homes are furnished and equipped with kitchen facilities for self-catering, although breakfast may be offered as an add-on. These properties have their own independent front door, which makes them different to apartments.
Very clean, the staff was extremely friendly, car can be parked very close to the room, location is beautiful, they integrate the cabins in the environment as much as possible,... Gass station with small diner and small grocery section at 2km (N1). The food at their bistro was absolutely amazing. It's on the pricey side, but it's definitely worth the money.
The location is very nice and quaint, views from the apartment were good. The apartment was very clean and cozy. The kitchen has everything that one could need during a short trip. Beds were comfortable. We requested for a cot for our 5 month old infant and got everything as per our request. We loved our stay.
Well designed hostel with very clean and adequate facilities. The kitchen area is split into four enclosed sections which makes it easy and comfortable to use. There are numerous toilets and shower facilities located conveniently throughout the building and there is a sink and mirror inside the room.
The bedroom and shower are otherwise very clean, shower room is spacious and pleasant.
We got a relatively small room, there were 3 of us and with large suitcases, there was barely room to open them.
The beds were comfortable.
Got a stunning view of a mountain with a glacier from the window
The staff was nice.
As indicated, the place is 7km from the ring road on a gravel road. It looks like a motel with a row of rooms/apartments. The whole place is very clean and obviously very new. We appreciated the coffee machine and capsules. Bathroom is very comfy.
Comfortable, well provided place to stay. Very clean.
We decided to book the breakfast (at an additional cost) and were happy we made that decision (great variety, portions...), and definitely recommend it.
The Holiday Houses has a very nice location overlooking the river, the plain and then the peaks of the Myrdalsjokull.
The rooms are good and you can easily stay with a group that is not demanding.
