This was our second stay at Hillview Cottage and the experience this year was every bit as great as last year's visit. Visiting a place for the first time (February 2024) you never know what to expect and the experience we had was superb. Coming back then you have high expectations and wonder will those expectations be met. No need to wonder as our expectations were not only met but exceeded once again. The warm and friendly greeting from Majella is what you expect from an Irish home and the layout and ambience of the cottage exudes a whole host of Irish charm. We will certainly be making a further trip to Hillview Cottage, hopefully for a longer stay next time too.

The host provided all the information needed for our stay, even providing a welcome basket with some treats which was unexpected. The house was easy to access with the information provided, as well as exceptionally clean. There was a booklet providing all contact details required if there was an emergency of any kind. My family had a wonderful time at the house. I would definitely recommend staying here and will come back if we are a big group again.

There were scones, butter, jam and fresh milk left in the cabin on arrival which was a very nice touch. The views from the cabin were lovely. It is a very peaceful place.
Great for families or large parties, holiday homes are privately owned accommodation, available for long or short-term rental. These homes are furnished and equipped with kitchen facilities for self-catering, although breakfast may be offered as an add-on. These properties have their own independent front door, which makes them different to apartments.
Family friendly property with everything you need. Spacious bedrooms and bathrooms. Very cosy and homely feel. Very clean and well looked after. Great outdoor area for sitting out. Also plenty for children to play including zip line and trampoline. Great location for exploring West Cork and less than 10mins from Rosscarbery which has plenty of activities for the children in Smuggler's Cove.
Everything was lovely. Polite host came to greet us and we had so much privacy. Very clean and comfortable. So cozy for a romantic night away from the kiddies. Breakfast basket was beautiful and shower perfect but being ur toiletries.
Great contact in advance if the stay. The place was lovely - very clean and warm. Definitely recommend. Would be nice to have friends check in to another cabin as there is outdoor seating and a fire pit so would be a good setting.
We loved our stay, we stayed in the 2 bed property, were given a very warm welcome by Fabienne and found the property to be very clean, comfortable with everything we needed. I felt they went above and beyond to ensure guests enjoy their stay, for example they provided a phone number where they can be reached at any time and in the kitchen there was tea, coffee and condiments which was very handy. Ballyroe is in a very rural setting but only a few mins drive from Leap.
