The cottage was great, it is out of the way - the nearest town Castletownbere is a few minutes drive away and there is a supermarket, restaurants... but the peace and quiet is wonderful, we had daily visits from pheasants in the courtyard.
The cottage is excellently equipped, the rooms large, everything very clean - the landlord even provided us with fresh fruit and wood for the fireplace and there was also food in the fridge.
There was only one problem, we had booked 2 bedrooms (which was confirmed) but the landlord had received confirmation from Booking for 1 bedroom. However, Declan responded immediately to our message and he then unlocked a 2nd bedroom for us. However, it was definitely not the landlord's fault, the error was with Booking.com - Declan responded promptly as described and was very nice. I can recommend the accommodation with full conviction.
Situated in Castletownbere and only 6.7 km from Hungry Hill, Laughing Seagull Cottage - unspoilt sea views features accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking.

Absolutely immaculate accommodation with lots of space and very friendly and helpful management. Well over and beyond the call of duty I'd say. Arrived late but it was no problem.
Left to our own devices on the whole with advice on trips when needed.

A fabulous house in a beautiful location, slightly remote but well worth the journey. The views from the house, and in the surrounding areas are breath-taking.

Mr. Murphy is really nice and he makes you feel welcome in his cottage. His wife and him live just nextdoor, so if you need anything, they can help you.
There are actually two bathrooms (one has only a toilet, and the other one a toilet and a shower), which is quite useful if there are more people staying in the cottage.

It’s location on the Beara Peninsula was ideal for sightseeing and touring around.
Great for families or large parties, holiday homes are privately owned accommodation, available for long or short-term rental. These homes are furnished and equipped with kitchen facilities for self-catering, although breakfast may be offered as an add-on. These properties have their own independent front door, which makes them different to apartments.
Very clean, well kept property. Everything thing you need is there, toilet and shower are located 'next door' to the pod with bedroom, kitchen facilities. A short 5mins walk into the village. Safe and no issues at all.
Excellent communication with owner. Great location in town with free parking. Homemade cookies in our room on arrival was a nice touch. Room a little on the small side but very clean and comfortable. Good advice given on place to eat out in the evening. Excellent breakfast served by friendly staff.
The pod was very clean and cosy , excellent bathroom with a comfortable bed . It was a huge plus to be able to bring our little dog , We loved the solar lighting decorating the pod and outside seating despite the invasion of midges .
