This place is amazing. The cottage is spotless and beautifully furnished and decorated.
The welcome pack is so thoughtful, bread, honey, eggs, milk,scones and handmade soap. Steph and Chris are wonderful hosts, this was our second visit and we'll be back.

Declan (the owner) had thought of everything. Little personal touches here and there made us feel that he'd gone above and beyond. The house was beautifully presented and was instantly warm and comfortable. He had even left a small stock of food and drink for our use.
We had booked this property for only one night as we were attending an event in the area. Now we wish we'd booked it for a week or more. It's one of the best stays we have ever done. Highly recommended.

This cottage was, by far, the nicest accommodation we have ever stayed in. The attention to detail was outstanding. Arriving with the heat and lights on and fire blazing with a delicious bottle of wine and cookies waiting for us really set the tone for the weekend. There were gorgeous pukka organic teas and coffee on offer among so many other things.
The place was absolutely sparkling and we were impressed also with the option available to separate refuse, recycling and compost.
The hosts were so organised and it was lovely to be able to arrive at the property and access it ourselves after a long drive without needing to organise to meet someone.
The bed was so comfortable. The entire cottage was warm with every facility that you could ask for. All the appliances were of top quality. We even were offered a beautiful new travel cot for our newborn which was utterly luxurious, so much so that we intend to buy the same one ourselves!
We will definitely return. It is only 5 minutes from Castletownbere and only 15 minutes from Dzogchen Beara meditation retreat which I attended.

Very nice and special tiny house with excellent bathroom in the additional half house! Own terrace with harbour view and neighbour cat. Ring of Beara is much nicer than Ring of Kerry, and this is a very nice spot to stay!

We have loved the house, a traditionnal Irish house, located in a scenic place.
The house was well stocked with whatever we needed, there was ever a vegetable grater !
The owner has been very nice.
The situation of the house is quite far away from shops, pubs.... that has to be known before to come.
The péninsule Baera is not as famous as the Kerry, but for our point of view, more beautiful and wild.

It’s location on the Beara Peninsula was ideal for sightseeing and touring around.
Great for families or large parties, holiday homes are privately owned accommodation, available for long or short-term rental. These homes are furnished and equipped with kitchen facilities for self-catering, although breakfast may be offered as an add-on. These properties have their own independent front door, which makes them different to apartments.
Very clean, well kept property. Everything thing you need is there, toilet and shower are located 'next door' to the pod with bedroom, kitchen facilities. A short 5mins walk into the village. Safe and no issues at all.
Excellent communication with owner. Great location in town with free parking. Homemade cookies in our room on arrival was a nice touch. Room a little on the small side but very clean and comfortable. Good advice given on place to eat out in the evening. Excellent breakfast served by friendly staff.
The pod was very clean and cosy , excellent bathroom with a comfortable bed . It was a huge plus to be able to bring our little dog , We loved the solar lighting decorating the pod and outside seating despite the invasion of midges .
