I liked the location. We always parked on the English side of the river and crossed the footbridge over the river, which was no problem at all, even in the dark. We chose to park this side purely because it was closer to the family we were visiting.
Collection of the key from the pub next door was bizarre but amusing - it was Halloween, everyone in the pub was in costume and there was band playing! All worked fine though.

A lovely cottage behind a pub in a friendly village. The cottage was full of character, and the small kitchenette was equipped with everything we needed for our stay. The bathroom facilities were great. Everything was clean and tidy.

The view was amazing, the place was like being at home it had all we needed and more, such comfortable bed, bedding soft and clean, extra bedding if needed as has been cold, owner was amazing, when the booking.com, didn't forward the key code, several times, so we contacted owner who, offered us a free drink in the local pub, we said no nessasary, but was nice he offered.

My wife and I rarely write reviews unless we have something genuinely positive to say. Edge Barn deserves every bit of praise. If you want an authentic countryside experience without owning a place yourself, this is the one.
Having lived in a gatehouse for years, we were thoroughly impressed as were the children. The barn is beautifully converted, blending rustic charm with modern comfort. Inside, it feels like a home from home, spacious, well-equipped, and immaculately maintained.
The living area features a stove, ample central heating and windows, and French doors that frame stunning views of the surrounding countryside, horses, and sheep. The kitchen (everything you require is provided and more) and dining table comfortably seats six, and the upstairs bedrooms provide additional sleeping options, including an extra mattress if needed. A well-designed baby chair, both safe and stylish is also available. The bathroom is a suitable size which allows you to relax in comfort.
Patrick and Jules are fantastic hosts, a credit to themselves and the property. Every detail is thoughtfully considered, making for a flawless stay. If I could, I’d make an offer and buy this home in a heartbeat. If you appreciate quality, you will not be disappointed.

Great communication from the host. Nice and clean. Easy access. Some little games which we made use of. Welsh cakes on arrival which was a nice touch. Cosy and warm house. Great WiFi and TV access. Own driveway right outside the property. Nice location with a short walk to the town centre, restaurants and supermarket.
