A one minute walk from the high street and towpath, on-site parking, nice compact 2-bed house with a bathroom upstairs with the bedrooms for convenience and a second one off the living room but with a spa-like entrance in between. The host, faye, had the heating on for my arrival, sausages, bacon, eggs and black pudding ready in the fridge along with a 4 pinter of milk. There was a helpful brochure for the area (cab and takeaway numbers as well as recommended walks). No-one over-looked the yard and there was very little passing pedestrian or vehicular traffic. The rushing river on the other side of the road and down quite a steep drop was lovely to hear on leaving the house and there was no noise from neighbours/traffic etc at any time.

Martyn showed us around the accommodation. It is really lovely. So well furnished, immaculately clean, and Martyn had also supplied us with some provisions which were greatly appreciated.
