We had a voucher to stay 4 nights elsewhere but after the first night had to leave as it was awful. When we booked the remaining 3 nights at Melfort, Hazel upgraded us to the Commodore Suite when we told her why we were moving. It so happened this was the same Suite we stayed in for our Honeymoon in 2001. A perfect happy ending.
Melfort Village is set in a lochside location, 24 km from Oban. Furnace is 23 km away. The units include a dining/seating area with a satellite flat-screen TV.

What a find! The accommodation itself is excellent, but the location makes it absolutely outstanding. The view across the loch from the balcony and the little jetty down at the water's edge is really something special. Three nights was nothing like long enough, and we found it hard to leave. I was with my partner and her father, who come from a landlocked part of Germany, and they couldn't have been more delighted with the place. Absolutely superb. I've been recommending the house, and Melfort resort more generally, to friends and family ever since we arrived there.

Very clean and modern, host were excellent, had interesting conversations. They were very knowledgeable about what to do and where to go in the local area. A very informative room information package in the room for things to do locally .The breakfast was excellent , the ingredients was the best of quality . The setting was idillic and nature was everywhere .If we on holiday in the area again we would choose to stay there

Everything. Hosts were welcoming, the room was great, the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was modern and very clean. The linen and towels were excellent quality, breakfast was good, plenty to keep us going all day. Nothing was too much trouble.
