The property is away from La Fortuna which is great if you like peace and quiet and don't mind a drive to town. The surrounding area is beautiful and we saw many great birds including Tucans in the area and also enjoyed a morning hike in the jungle.

Everything. The picture of the cabin is misleading since it actually is one of the finest places we stayed in CR. Loved the sunny balcony in the back from which you can enjoy watching a variety of birds and breathtaking sunsets. The hosts are delightful and went out of their way to show us monkeys visiting the property and bringing home baked delicacies. It's a little paradise off the beaten track.

We enjoyed the breakfast with a view of the beautiful garden, especially for birdwatchers there is a lot to see. If we are again in the area we will definitely stay there again.
Breakfast was good. Lots of options. We had an upgrade to cabin 10. ( thank you Peggy).Beautiful view of the lake and a private pool. Awesome. More than enough room and a full kitchen. It’s a three bedroom. Would sleep six adults easily. Everyone was friendly and helpful with suggestions for day trips. There are a couple of other good restaurants walking distance for variety. If you stay, try the horse back ride through dense forest, rivers, and wide open hilltop views of the lake. The pics are the views from the back deck and hilltop view.
It felt like paradise! The variety of birds you get to see there is incomparable to any other place! Do yourself a favor, sit down for breakfast on the balcony and see for yourself - you will be surprised, and you definitely won't regret it.
Rooms are very basic but very clean. I'll definitely be back at this lovely place!

The rooms were very clean and comfortable and the communication with the hosts was quick and efficient. PLUS Carlos is a passionate cook and we had THE best breakfast in Costa Rica! We would love to come back some day!
