Rooms are super comfortable and clean. It is an authentic Vietnamese homestay with a lovely family. Just out of the city, you can feel like a local. Lee and his family are very welcoming and can help with anything you need. They speak english too. There are also some shops, restaurants and even cheap public transport near by. It is just nice to stay away from the extremely busy city center. Highly recommend it. I ended up spending a week here.

In the Hoan Kiem district of Hanoi, close to Hanoi Old City Gate, Bamboo Homestay Old Quarter has a garden and a washing machine. The owner is so nice. The son helped to open the door eventho we came at 4.00 am. The father made some coffee for us. Eventho it's a short stay we are really satisfied. Room is clean and spacious. Location is just 5minutes away from the bus station that dropped us. If i come to hanoi again, I'll definitely stay here
