Featuring free bikes and views of lake, Lee Homestay is a recently renovated guest house located in Hanoi, 12 km from Vietnam Museum of Ethnology. Spacious and clean room with a desk, air purifier and a/c (with heater option for the cold months!). Nice bathroom with hot water and towels provided. The family is incredibly generous and hospitable. They gave us warm jackets to wear as we only had summer clothes haha, and often shared food with us. We could get water and cook in their kitchen independently too. They also did our laundry without charge. Definitely recommended if you prefer to be located outside of the city, or if you want to work online (as we did). There is a bus that you can take to get to the centre for cheap.

The location is brilliant, right in the heart of the Old Quarter, but on a quiet little side street. Barely any noise issue at all. A fully self contained room with fridge, microwave and stove and dishes. The shower was excellent. The bed is Vietnamese firm, which was a little too firm for me! The directions sent by the owners were very clear, and even though I still got a bit confused, it was really easy to call and get further instructions. Excellent food just across the street too! I will definitely stay again
