Hotel Scherman is a boutique hotel in midtown Manhattan. Great location in Hell's Kitchen and at close distance of Times Square. The small hotel (only 21 rooms) is located on 46th street in the middle of Restaurant Row. If you like to try different cuisines at good prices and good quality you will find yourself in paradise. The hotel is just a great place to stay. We enjoyed a spacious room with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room and balcony on the 4th floor. There was also a small kitchenette, which we only used for the refrigerator (being so close to any kind of food we liked :-)). Breakfast is being offered between 8 and 10 AM. Quite simple (no hot dishes), but plenty of choices to enjoy a good breakfast. There is a roof terrace accessible via the 5th floor where you can see Times Square and Empire State Building in the distance. The location in Hell's Kitchen hardly has any high rises, which changes rapidly once you cross 8th Avenue towards Times Square. Metro is closeby and within one block you enter Midtown, where New York is most alive during day and night time. Hotel staff is extremely friendly and always available to answer questions or offer some kind of support.

Miad’s Guest House is located in Jamaica, 17 km from Citi Field, 19 km from Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, and 21 km from Barclays Center. Hosts are very very friendly. I got the chance to meet Miad’s dad who drove me to and from the airpot, took me to a shopping mall and suggested a nice spot to get some food. He was the highlight of my stay, very genuine, helpful, kind and hospitable. I initially booked the place because I read from reviews that they offered to pick and drop their guests from and to the airpot, to my surprise it was for a much lower price compared to the normal standard around the area. The apartment is at the basement, close to the airpot and expected that you’d hear some planes fly through. It’s exceptionally clean, spacious, comfortable and well equipped. I was there for a single night due to a long layover. It’s perfect for both long and short stays. It’s now my go-to place if I ever fly via JFK with a long layover. Located in Mount Vision, in a historic building, 26 km from Doubleday Field, Bloom Farm Guesthouse is a bed and breakfast with a garden and shared lounge. The owners (Rob and Anna) were super friendly, accommodating to our needs, and fun to chat with. If I could give a 10++ it would be the breakfast. They have chickens that produced fresh eggs and there was a fresh fruit and homemade bread market right across street that we got to enjoy every morning. The areas were very quiet aesthetically pleasing to the eye from location to parking, to living areas and bedroom. Access to the home and room were easy and without problems. Highly recommend a stay there if you enjoy peace, quiet and a great breakfast!

Featuring a garden, The Waltham: AirTrain & 5min to JFK offers accommodation in Queens, the guest house is also 7 km away from Arthur Ashe Stadium. Free WiFi is available. Beautiful place, clean and close to JFK airport. The owner sent us all the information we needed with pictures attached. Snacks were provided in the room as well as a fridge with water, cool drinks and even beer to choose from, what a treat. One of our best stays ever, thank you. ( And a very cute cat )

Set in Camillus, 17 km from Rosamond Gifford Zoo at Burnet Park, Nightshade Inn & Gardens offers accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. The room was very clean and comfy and the owner was super friendly and helpful. We appreciated the fresh fruit and bottled water in the room, as well the fruit, coffee and mini pastries in the lobby in the morning. We definitely recommend Nightshade Inn & Gardens! Thanks again for the nice stay!

Located within 44 km of SUNY Oneonta and 48 km of Ski Bobcat in Jefferson, Wind in the Willows Overnight provides accommodation with seating area. We were there for the second time and were thrilled again this time. The rooms are top equipped and super well maintained. The hosts are always very attentive and you lack nothing. We have really taken the two into our hearts. They have prepared everything wonderfully, with so much attention to detail. And the place itself and the area are just beautiful. Exactly our thing. We will come back for a third time.

Inn at Taughannock Falls is located in Trumansburg New York, 14 km from Ithaca and 16.4 km from Cornell University. Exceptional service, beautiful view of lake, excellent continental breakfast was included.

Located within 3 km of The National Museum of Play and 3.3 km of Blue Cross Arena At the War, Dartmouth House offers rooms in Rochester. The house was clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. I also liked sitting out in the front porch with my coffee in the morning.

Featuring an outdoor pool and a restaurant, The Inn at Erlowest is a stone Queen Anne revival castle located in Lake George. Free WiFi access is available. Delicious dinner and dessert in the restaurant, wonderful view from the Shepherd Suite, friendly staff, nice shared coffee and tea bar. Very quiet all weekend, even with a wedding happening.

Located in New York, the recently renovated Soul Food 'Mont Morris' provides accommodation 1.7 km from Columbia University and 3.2 km from Metropolitan Museum of Art. Very good accommodation on a side street in Harlem with a very friendly and helpful landlady. - Gladly again at any time and with the best recommendation.
