Hotel Scherman is a boutique hotel in midtown Manhattan. Great location in Hell's Kitchen and at close distance of Times Square. The small hotel (only 21 rooms) is located on 46th street in the middle of Restaurant Row. If you like to try different cuisines at good prices and good quality you will find yourself in paradise. The hotel is just a great place to stay. We enjoyed a spacious room with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room and balcony on the 4th floor. There was also a small kitchenette, which we only used for the refrigerator (being so close to any kind of food we liked :-)). Breakfast is being offered between 8 and 10 AM. Quite simple (no hot dishes), but plenty of choices to enjoy a good breakfast. There is a roof terrace accessible via the 5th floor where you can see Times Square and Empire State Building in the distance. The location in Hell's Kitchen hardly has any high rises, which changes rapidly once you cross 8th Avenue towards Times Square. Metro is closeby and within one block you enter Midtown, where New York is most alive during day and night time. Hotel staff is extremely friendly and always available to answer questions or offer some kind of support.

I got the chance to meet Miad’s dad who drove me to and from the airpot, took me to a shopping mall and suggested a nice spot to get some food. He was the highlight of my stay, very genuine, helpful, kind and hospitable. I initially booked the place because I read from reviews that they offered to pick and drop their guests from and to the airpot, to my surprise it was for a much lower price compared to the normal standard around the area. The apartment is at the basement, close to the airpot and expected that you’d hear some planes fly through. It’s exceptionally clean, spacious, comfortable and well equipped. I was there for a single night due to a long layover. It’s perfect for both long and short stays. It’s now my go-to place if I ever fly via JFK with a long layover. The owners (Rob and Anna) were super friendly, accommodating to our needs, and fun to chat with. If I could give a 10++ it would be the breakfast. They have chickens that produced fresh eggs and there was a fresh fruit and homemade bread market right across street that we got to enjoy every morning. The areas were very quiet aesthetically pleasing to the eye from location to parking, to living areas and bedroom. Access to the home and room were easy and without problems. Highly recommend a stay there if you enjoy peace, quiet and a great breakfast!

Beautiful place, clean and close to JFK airport. The owner sent us all the information we needed with pictures attached. Snacks were provided in the room as well as a fridge with water, cool drinks and even beer to choose from, what a treat. One of our best stays ever, thank you. ( And a very cute cat )

We have really taken the two into our hearts. They have prepared everything wonderfully, with so much attention to detail. And the place itself and the area are just beautiful. Exactly our thing. We will come back for a third time.

Dartmouth House terletak di Rochester, 13 menit jalan kaki dari Rumah George Eastman dan 3 km dari The National Museum of Play. The house was clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. I also liked sitting out in the front porch with my coffee in the morning.
