Situated within 26 km of Dobsinska Ice Cave and 33 km of Spis Castle in Hrabušice, ASCONA provides accommodation with seating area. Hrabusice is the best base for a visit to Slovensky Raj and exploring the Spis region. Some hiking trails (Hornad canyon, Sucha Bela) are walking distance from the village, for the rest you would need a car as public transport is limited outside summer holidays. Due to some mix up with the booking Peter (the host) arranged for us to stay in an apartment in another part of the village. It was an upgrade as we had a whole very comfy apartment with kitchen to ourselves. Communication with Peter was fast and reliable and the proposed solution more than satisfactory! Tip for visitors: since April 2024 local tourist tax (2 euros per person per night) allows free entry to paid sites in Slovensky Raj and includes insurance for mountain rescue costs.

Located just 12 km from Niedzica Castle, Willa Gazda offers accommodation in Sromowce Niżne with access to a garden, barbecue facilities, as well as luggage storage space. I like everything here. Amazing place to spend a few days with friends! Close to center, barbecue place, friendly owner. Recommended!😊😊😊

The kitchen is great, the neighbourhood is great. The accommodation is right next to the forest. The staff are very nice.

Offering a garden and garden view, Penzion Chalupka II is set in Spišské Podhradie, 1.6 km from Spis Castle and 47 km from Kojsovska Hola. The owner is super friendly and very talkative, he even explained what should we visit if we went sightseeing. The bedroom and bathroom were clean, the beds comfy and the kitchenette had everything we needed. I don't think I could've chosen a better place for this money.

Penzion St. Martin is situated in the centre of Spišská Kapitula, UNESCO-protected area and offers views of the Spišský Castle as well as a garden, bar and on-site dining. We traveled by car with a dog. The main purpose of our visit was the Spishsky castle. And the pension was very nice place to stay. The castle was just in 40 minutes by walk (or 15 minutes by car) and there was good view on it just from the gates of Kapitula. The pension is good place to feel the atmosphere of antiquity. The Kapitula and the St’Martin Cathedral were the wonderful bonuses. Thanks! We were happy to stay there.

Featuring a garden, shared lounge and views of city, Guest House Tri Koruny is situated in Spišská Stará Ves, 6.6 km from Niedzica Castle. Breakfast was outstanding. Choice of variety of breakfasts, fresh fruits, drinks; dinner was great local and cosmopolitan fair, everything was high quality; facilities were virtually brand new, and again everything was first class. Service was caring and attentive. Undervalued for what you get. I know this sounds made up but I can’t think of a single negative. Highly recommend this gem.

Set just 29 km from Spis Castle, Penzión Mária offers accommodation in Smižany with access to a fitness centre, a garden, as well as a 24-hour front desk. Lovely flat for a great price! We really appreciated the kitchen equipment and fridge, and the balcony with tables and chairs. The staff were very kind and accommodating! We would definitely stay there again.
