Artistic and funky but also warm, friendly and totally unpretentious. The hotel is an old style property, airy and light with big windows and views to the Pico volcano. It is like a gem of an oasis amidst more recent development on the edge of town, but is only ten mins walk down to the big square and port. Breakfast in the spacious dining room is exceptional and the ladies who run the hotel are charming and helpful. We had the extra benefit and unexpected bonus of the Suite, which was like having your own flat with a terrace! There are some trendy restaurant options down the hill with good food - but rather pricey wine, but we found a couple of traditional older places (Medalhas & Lima) that we liked. For whale-watching, Naturalist are a good science-based outfit and if you are short of time or transport they do an excellent half day island tour too - very informative and not touristy. You can do both in one day!

Located in Horta, Casa BuonVento offers a shared living room. Among the facilities at this property are a shared kitchen and luggage storage space, along with free WiFi throughout the property. The hosts are without a doubt the kindest and sweetest people ever. They gave us explanations about the whole island, what to visit, which route to take, where best to eat. They are very focused on local merchants and really want to give you the best experience of the island. The kitchen and bathroom are superclean and beautifully cared for and equipped. You can use the fridge and kitchen but they will tell you all about great bakeries in the neighborhood. There is host's own art hanging in the guest house and you can buy it too. The decor is unique and very domestic. Highly recommended for a stay on Faial!!!

The guesthouse is located in an excellent location - a few stepy from the beach, realy close to Horta port. The owner is a wonderful person - very hospitable and friendly, always happy to help or advise.

BELO CAMPO - Ilha do Faial (Horta) in Castelo Branco, Faial Island, provides accommodation with a garden and a shared lounge. Jose is an absolutely exceptional host. Nice and helpful. The room and the kitchen are absolutely clean. An ideal place very close to the airport for our early morning departure. Jose even arranged for us to have breakfast very early so we wouldn't fly hungry.

A TV with cable channels are featured. we had the Tern room which had a sea view, king size bed, bathroom w skylight. place was super clean, breakfast was good w kitchen access so you can cook ur own food if u wanted. best part we’re the friendly staff.

The bedroom was small with private bathroom and air conditioning , it met our needs . There is the option to sit outside and the shared space is very inviting . It feels like home . I would definitely come back again !

Beautiful house with phantastic garden to relax.. Peaceful and quiet. The landlady and her husband were enormous helpful and nice.
