Overlooking the scenic Douro River Valley, Quinta da Casa Cimeira, Guest House, Wines & Food is set in a historic country house and surrounded by a garden and vineyards. Great hospitality, perfect wine and food. I would recommend it for my friends.

Offering mountain views, A Tendinha - Guest House is an accommodation located in Peso da Régua, 1.1 km from Douro Museum and 14 km from Our Lady of Remedies Sanctuary. This guesthouse was very stylish and thoughtfully appointed. It had everything we needed and welcome glasses of port and sweets were provided. A nice touch. It was located on the first floor by a staircase above a very popular pasteleria which is where breakfast was served. This was one of the best breakfasts we have had and staff could not have been more helpful in ensuring we had everything we wanted during our 2 night stay. Car parking was very easy and convenient and free which was an added bonus. The guesthouse is also close to the train station We highly recommend A Tendinha to anyone staying in Peso da Regua who can manage a short flight of stairs.

Quinta da Menina Guest House is situated in Vila Real, 35 km from Douro Museum, 46 km from Our Lady of Remedies Sanctuary, and 8.6 km from Mateus Palace. What an amazing place and warm, wonderful hosts Paolo and Carla make you feel like old friends. Beware, booking.com's directions take you to the wrong house. Follow Google maps to Quinta da Menina Guest house instead and you won't get lost. The place seems brand new but charming. It's spotless and gorgeous. The pool is crystal clear and breakfast is fantastic. Don't make the mistake we made and only book one night. You are going to want to stay at this beautiful oasis and explore the wine area for, at least, a few days. I would have stayed forever if I could.

Located in Peso da Régua, 1.6 km from Douro Museum and 16 km from Our Lady of Remedies Sanctuary, Salgueiral Guest House Douro provides air-conditioned accommodation with a terrace and free WiFi. The room is not big, but very warmly decorated! The bed was very comfortable, slept very well! The kitchen is fully equipped and easy to use, perfect for cooking your own meals while traveling! The host was very friendly and warm-hearted, and the communication was very pleasant. He also prepared a welcome dessert for us! He really tried to make a sweet home for us!

Great location and facilities, just few minutes from the river and center, great breakfast and most helpfull owners who arranged for us for one of the best quintas visits. Thank you!

Offering a garden and garden view, Quinta da Corga is located in Prova, 16 km from Longroiva Hot Springs and 38 km from São João da Pesqueira Wine Museum. This guest house features a terrace. Character hotel in a beautiful setting. Room was clean and comfortable. Claudia and the owner were very friendly and helpful. There is a village 1km away but for us the hotel had everything we needed. We cooked our own evening meal in the well equipped kitchen. Breakfast was provided and very tasty.

Zimão Garden House is located in Vila Real, 30 km from Natur Waterpark, 31 km from Golf Course Vidago Palace, and 43 km from Douro Museum. Good coffee machine. Breakfast not provided, but fruit is and mineral water. Very helpful and friendly hosts. Kitchen is well equipped.

Quinta Pedreira dos Anjos has mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking, situated in Provesende, 12 km from Natur Waterpark. We wanted quite and romantic place, out of the city place but close enough to drive by car. This place is located 20-25 minutes from the Sabrosa/Pinhao. The stay was amazing! The room was spacious enough and we had a big window facing the valley. The sunset and the morning views are incredible there. And because of the isolated location it so quite there. Except the room there is also a place outside in the property to sit and enjoy the wine and the views. The host gave us a taste of their own wine and port and we also asked for the breakfast (additional price). Wow, you definitely must have it! Aurora made us a wonderful breakfast. Everything on the table came from their own garden. And the view from the balcony (where we ate) is amazing.

Located within 12 km of Longroiva Hot Springs and 40 km of São João da Pesqueira Wine Museum, Casa dos Primos provides rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Muxagata. We are long-term travelers & the couple who own this guest house are some of the nicest people we have met in all of our journeys! The guest house is new, the room is large and has a great shower. WiFi worked, a rarity in Portugal. The location is peaceful and they have a great place to sit outside and relax. The breakfast was excellent - great coffee. They even gave us a glass of their home-grown red wine.
