The hotel owner, Luz, and her mom, Juanita, were so personable and warm. They really helped me and my friend order food, drive us, and also made me tea and soup when I was feeling sick! It felt like I was being taken care of like family and I am so grateful to have met them.

As a solo female traveler, Casa de Kai was perfection. A 7 minute walk to the beach, one minute to anything you might need or want while in Mazunte. The room was perfect, clean, bright, cozy, simple. Paula is an exceptional and attentive host and a remarkable human. She was the best part of my stay at Casa de Kai - in her, I made a life-long friend. Oh, and the cats Minu and Max hanging with me in the garden, were a sweet addition.

Located in Brisas de Zicatela, Bugambilias Alojamiento provides a garden. Guests can enjoy garden views. At the guest house, rooms come with a wardrobe. Honestly best place I’ve stayed in in Puerto. Everything’s super clean, the location is perfect and the host is extremely friendly and helpful.

Situated less than 1 km from Principal Beach, Casa Sixta offers air-conditioned accommodation with a patio. It was an oasis. We loved the place and how Magnolia (the owner) was taking care of it with love. She was there every day, watering the plants, cleaning and it was amazing how committed she was to the place. We had one of the new rooms and it was the best and most comfortable accommodation we’ve had in Mexico. Like the others said, the shower was amazing, the bed super comfortable and we simply felt great there. You can also cook in there, the kitchen is in the other part of the garden and was fully equipped. We could also get cold water at the reception anytime we wanted so there was no need to buy the bottled one. Thank you so much Magnolia, you truly were the best host and we wish to come back again to Casa Sixta! ❤️

Villa Bonobo - Coliving features an outdoor swimming pool, bar, a shared lounge and garden in Puerto Escondido. There is a communal oven and coffee machine. It’s a really nice place, with nice views and very comfortable.

Samora Luxury Resort has a restaurant, outdoor swimming pool, a fitness centre and bar in Santa María Colotepec. Despite travelling alone this place felt like a home. It was very relaxed with a small number of guests. The evening meals were around a main central table which encourages mingling. The host and staff were the correct level of attentiveness, allowing private moments yet also being on hand at any moment. The room was pretty amazing and the hotel had all you would want. Despite not speaking Spanish and also offering the challenge of being vegan, the staff and chef rose to meet high expectations. I especially enjoyed being surrounded by Spanish speakers.

Boasting a patio with garden views, an outdoor swimming pool and an open-air bath, La Playita Beach House can be found in Puerto Escondido, close to Zicatela Beach and 1.4 km from Marinero Beach. Everyone is nice and friendly. The kitchen is comfortable :) I liked the design of the common area. Quite and cozy

Offering city views, Posada Nautica is an accommodation situated in Mazunte, 300 metres from Mazunte Beach and 600 metres from Agustinillo Beach. As soon as I arrived, Manuel made me feel very comfortable and he was very helpful with any questions I had! The room was very big, and the bed was huge! And comfortable. The shower had hot water and the kitchen had everything you'd need to cook in. The air conditioning worked very well and kept the whole room cool and relaxing. Manuel also helped me to get to the airport. Would highly recommend! Thanks so much Manuel!

Set in Mazunte, a few steps from Mazunte Beach, Posada Ziga Playa offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. It was the perfect place to stay for a beach vacation. You only hear the sound of the waves and all the staff are super friendly. We really liked having water available to refill our bottle.
