The owner attends to his guests himself to make sure that our stay is great and exceeds expectations. They organized a cute setup for our friend whose birthday happened to be during our stay, they allowed us to check out later free of charge, and even arranged for a homemade lunch at the guesthouse itself, on the pergola, which was great. Highly recommended!

Situated in Kalutara, Karl Holiday Bungalow offers peaceful and homely accommodation with free WiFi access throughout the property. We used this very nice and cosy little hotel during three weeks as a 'base camp' for trips around the island. We were more than satisfied with everything. Staff is very friendly and nice and made us feel very welcome. The pool is clean and the garden is very beautiful and well maintained with flowers and decorations. Furnitures in the patio areas where you can sit outside and chill. The food they serve is also very tasty — we really liked the Sri Lankan breakfast and dinner specialities. Our room was big and spacious wirh good storage facilities for clothes and personal belongings. To have a fridge of your own and access to a kitchen is a big advantage!

The guesthouse is new and recently opened, so the furniture and facilities are brand new and very comfortable. The owners live in the same house, which gives you a sense of security. They are very kind and very helpful. Breakfast was also delicious and we were very impressed with the hospitality.

Th room was very spacious with a very nice balcony with sea view and calm fresh air. It’s a very quiet place. He gave us a very big breakfast for small price. He is helpful, loves a small talk and really wants the best for you. Would 10/10 recommend staying here!

One of the best stays I've had in Sri Lanka. Perfect in every way possible. The room was large, perfectly clean and everything seamed seamed new. Stunning view. Very private as you it's only one apartment, on the top floor. Sam and his staff are absolutely amazing, taking care of you as if you were staying at the most expensive 5-star resort around ;) Sam's fish restaurant on the ground floor serves the top fish and seafood, all their specials were truly amazing. I heard it was said to be the best fish restaurant in the area, and I can only agree to that. In summery: Top stay, top people, top restaurant. Was planning to stay 2 nights, but stayed for 7 in the end :). Thanks Sam!
