The rooms were clean and cosy and the garden was quiet and beautiful. The AC worked well. The breakfast was also good and sri lankan style. The owner and his family were super friendly and helpful with everything. They even called the Trainstation to ask for the train schedule for us and allowed us to park our tuktuk in their garden for two more days after our stay while we visited jaffna by train.

Upali and his wife provided us with a wonderful home stay experience. Genuinely lovely people who were available to help. Breakfast was great. Close to town yet peaceful.

Attractively situated in the centre of Anuradhapura, Sunhill Lake Tourist Rest features free WiFi, a garden and free private parking for guests who drive. Palik and his family were amazing!! I've never felt so welcomed anywhere in the world. We stay 4 nights and then extended, my only regret is that we couldn't stay longer. He was full of recommendations for places to eat and things to see; greeted us with tea; arranged a tour; drove us to the bus station; cooked us a traditional meal; on and on and on. I can't talk them up enough. The Guest house is quite near both the new town rail station as well as the bus station, it is right across from an island that has hundreds of birds (I counted a dozen species) nesting in it.

Located in Anuradhapura, near Kada Panaha Tank, Kumbichchan Kulama Tank and Attikulama Tank, Corner Cottage - Anuradhapura features a garden. A unique experience! We stayed at Corner Cottage for 3 nights and it was one of the best experiences of our trip. The hosts and their children are an extraordinary and generous family. We spent an evening cooking together and had dinner together in the evening. These moments will remain engraved forever.
