Cooking facilities were available shared with the family. The bathroom was also shared but there was no problem whatsoever. We really loved staying here in amazing surroundings. 7.8 km from Fukuura Tunnel, guesthouse碧 is a recently renovated property situated in Okinoshima and features air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. Beautiful recently renovated ryokan on the northern part of the island. Owners are unbelievably lovely. Couldn’t recommend this place more. We adored the time there.

It was very clean, nice up to date facilities. The staff in supermarket across the road were very helpful when I thought the door wasn’t open (but it was open). Nice and quiet!!!

COCORETO The Guesthouse Daikon Island is set in Matsue, 1 km from Yushien Garden, and had a wooden terrace and a shared lounge. Very beautiful place. the beds are very comfortable, and the hostel is very clean. Very nice human experience, the owner takes the time to chat with you, and to share his knowledge of the region and Japan. very nice experience! I recommend for foreigners looking for an authentic experience in Japan!

Guest House Yonemuraya offers accommodation in central Matsue, 5 minutes walk from Matsue Castle. Free WiFi is featured throughout the property and private parking is available on site. Guest house Yonemuraya was a pleasant surprise. It was so much better than staying at a hotel, as it felt like a more authentic Japanese experience. I travelled to Matsue for a conference at Kunibike Messe convention centre and this was only a short walk away. Emi-San was an excellent host, helping me with finding place for dinner, sightseeing and shopping ideas when I had time off work. There was a lively restaurant area nearby, and the train station, castle etc were within walking distance.

Set within a renovated Japanese-style house surrounded by calm nature, 一棟貸し宿Kusuburu House chartered accommodation offers pet-friendly accommodation in Okinoshima. The house is equipped with traditional Japanese furniture and really cute souvenirs. The host couple was super friendly and we can only recommend having dinnner at Kusuburu house - the food was delicious. We even went fishing with the host and he prepared the fish we caught right after as Sashimi and fried fish - one of our favorite experiences during our four weeks in Japan. We really hope to be able to visit Kusuburu House one day again.
