Terletak di Hikone, 1.7km dari Istana Hikone, GUEST HOUSE NAGORIYA menyediakan penginapan dengan bar dan tempat parking peribadi percuma. I cannot recommend this guest house enough! The owner is so kind, helpful and speaks decent English. The location is too far for walking but if you take the number 22 bus from stand 1 outside the station, you can shorten the walk to 5 minutes. Very comfortable bed, good AC, plenty of space for luggage and relaxing. Useful kitchen, fridge, freezer, microwave, kettle, cutlery, mugs, plates etc. It's in a quiet area. The lake is a short walk away. Hikone Castle isn't far either. The one toilet and shower on the first floor did not bother me. I loved this guest house!

The design and layout of the room was creative and comfortable. Such attention to details - hooks conveniently located, lights at all the right places and all of them are dimmable from a remote control. Very clever use of space to fit in all the amenities. I enjoyed spending time in my room! The common spaces are wonderful too - a brand new pool table at the dining area. Miyu and her husband are very hardworking and talented. I feel so lucky to have been their guest. Highly recommend Koke Musu:Inn to all travellers with a sense of adventure. The inn is a short 15-min walk from the station and is just across Lake Biwa. There are many eateries nearby, as well as convenience stores and supermarkets. Perfect place to spend a few days.

Guesthouse En, tempat penginapan dengan basikal percuma dan taman, terletak di Omihachiman, 34km dari Kuil Enryaku-ji, 35km dari Kuil Sanzen-in, dan juga 35km dari Gunung Hiei. The owner picked us up from the station and even drove us to a supermarket to get some food, as the house is in a residential area, without restaurants or convenience stores nearby. The house is very nice! It’s an old house, but renovated. If you are tall, mind the low doors. The house is not in the city center, but you can go around by the bicycles the owner rents for free.

A lovely place run by lovely people. I liked the spacious room for the two of us, the veranda, the beautiful temple which we were introduced to. The morning chanting and bell ringing was a really profound start to the day, and all offered in the most low key way. Really loved this Amida temple. 🌞 ☔ It was great to be told about the super sento 10 minutes walk away. 💦 Thanks so much for your generosity with lifts and other help. 🌻

We had a great stay in this traditional little house ! Everything is clean, the kitchen is very well equipped, we loved the bathroom with a view of the surrounding fields and mountains. The family is lovely and has a great sense of hospitality. We will come back !

The location was quiet, in the middle of a residential area so it was very quiet at all times, there was a convenience store about 10mins walk away. The guesthouse was very spacious with a living room, dining room and sitting room on the main floor. There were 2 bathrooms and 2 showers and all very clean!

It’s a traditional Japanese cabin in the mountains. The shoji screens and the zen garden made it a really relaxing and cozy visit. One of my favorite accommodations through my journey in Japan. They have WiFi, and a modern toilet. The kitchen is a bit old and not up to modern standards but it works just fine. If you want a place away from the bustling cities, and really want to relax and also get a feel for an authentic Japanese cabin I can highly recommend it. Word of advice is to get food before you arrive as it is far from any stores, but I was informed of this before arrival so I had time to plan. The hostess was super friendly and very helpful It’s an old cabin and it shows, don’t expect a newly renovated house, but it gave it an authentic feeling. There’s also no AC, but with it being in the mountains and the shoji screens it didn’t get too hot at night. Also the insects make a lot of noise Wish I stayed more than one night
