The house was clean and well prepared, there are comfortable beds. It is very close to the Maehama Beach which is wonderful. We also experienced lovely encounter with the family living in the house. Even though, there was a language barrier (Japanese/English), we managed to communicate smoothly and also got some amazing recommendations regarding the island. Highly recommended!

Offering a garden and city view, Happy Island Miyako is situated in Miyako Island, 1.8 km from Painagama Beach and 3.4 km from Turiba Seaside Park. Staying at Happy Island Miyako was a beautiful and awesome experience. Max, the host, is a super cool guy that works hard so that everyone has a great time. Also one night I came back late and he texted me to check if everything was ok, a nice gesture. I stayed 3 nights and got to share dinner with him and other guests on 2 of those nights. And one was a Takoyaki grill party! We all participated in doing them, it was a lot of fun. I've got to say that I've been to many guest houses along my Japan trip and this was the best one by far. Max also organices different sea-related tours and has snorkeling equipment for rental. All in all a wonderful experience and I recommend staying there if you've got the chance. The terrace is also very nice! Location is great, quiet but just a few minutes by foot to different restaurants and convenience stores.  Thank you Max once again for the happy memories, will definitely stay here whenever I come back.

Featuring quiet street views, Travelers House おーさんてぃん青空舎 features accommodation with terrace, around 1.2 km from Naarasa Beach. It is located 1.2 km from Kondoi Beach and offers luggage storage space.... I really enjoyed my stay with Travelers House. Hosts are kind and provide quality breakfast and welcoming drinks. Even got a foot bath with beautiful flowers. The room is charming and one can hear great jazz or classical music during breakfast time. Like staying in a liitle museum with plants, collector stamps and book on Hygge.

ゲストハウス石垣 is situated in Ishigaki Island and features a shared lounge. Guests can make use of a garden. Rooms are fitted with a shared bathroom. Ishigaki Island is 1.2 km from the hostel. The Guest House was in a very central location to the Ishigaki port. Andy from the very beginning was extremely thorough and detailed in his explanation of the guest house facilities and the area surrounding the guest house. The bathroom is shared with other people but it is not an inconvenience. The shared areas are very comfortable. Andy gave us a lot of help and recommendations for local spots and for help with finding diving options. There are a lot of amazing restaurants nearby including a lovely ice cream place (we went to every night). Overall, it was a great stay for us and our friends and we would definitely recommend this place and stay here again.

Host is helpful and thoughtful, recommended various tourist attractions and local food. Would like to stay again.
