14 km from Ryuoo Ski Park, Guest House Hostel yukuru is a recently renovated property situated in Iiyama and features air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. The property was in a nice location close enough to Iiyama Station. The hosts were some of the nicest people we have met and drove us to and from the station (6:30am!!). One of the comfiest places we have stayed and hope we can go back soon.

The hosts are the best I have ever experienced at any accommodation. Particularly the hosts, but all staff are willing to help all day. From breakfasts, to dropping us off to the slopes and looking after apres. Unrivalled. Can't recommend The Guest House enough to all groups

Set 22 km from Ryuoo Ski Park, 33 km from Jigokudani Monkey Park and 42 km from Suzaka City Zoo, Oyado Tamayura offers accommodation situated in Nozawa Onsen. Right next to the Nagasaka gondola, Tamayura is perfectly placed. The hosts are extremely helpful and friendly, and made us a simple but delicious breakfast (much better than many other ski lodges we have stayed in) each morning. The private baths were also excellent after a hard day’s skiing - I would recommend this place to everyone.

Guest House Honami-Kaido is located in Yamanouchi, 6.7 km from Jigokudani Monkey Park, 11 km from Ryuoo Ski Park, and 20 km from Suzaka City Zoo. Very cozy place! 下田san was extremely friendly and helpful. I had forgotten to take out cash for the payment. However 下田san offered to drive me to the ATM! I also highly recommend to get the breakfast.

Featuring 2-star accommodation, Shioriya is located in Nagano, 7.6 km from Nagano Station and 10 km from Zenkoji Temple. This guest house provides free private parking, a shared kitchen and free WiFi.... Beautiful Japanese house. Room was self-contained with small kitchen, private bath and toilet. It was also quiet, clean, comfortable and had many thoughtful details. The house is not in the city centre, but there are ample amenities close by, including 3 supermarkets, ramen, tonkatsu, Japanese sweets shops as well as a kaiten sushi shop popular with locals. There is also an ofuru within walking distance of the house. Nagano Olympic Stadium is about 1km away, and Nagano city is about 20 min by bus. Best of all, owners Fumi-san and husband are great hosts who go out of their way to make sure guests are comfortable. A lovely experience in the Japanese suburbs.

Featuring mountain views, Azumino Backpackers 山の風 provides accommodation with free bikes, a garden and barbecue facilities, around 29 km from Matsumoto Station. Amazing guest house! The room and facilities were very clean and tidy. Kitchen was well equipped. The property was quiet and calm. The hosts were lovely and we appreciated the tea :) Overall cozy and relaxing - recommend!
