We had to book last minute due to weather conditions and we were very warmly welcomed. The guesthouse is very clean and quiet, the room was warm, the shower had amazing water pressure. The kitchen was quite spacious with enough appliances to prepare a breakfast. The location was great to explore Stykkisholmus and the peninsula.

Situated 37 km from Stykkishólmur, Drangar Country Guesthouse is located on the Snæfellsnes Peninsula and features a shared lounge. The property is beautiful! The attention to detail was impressive. The hosts were kind and attentive.

This was our favorite place by far of our entire trip. The living room was spacious and we had a beautiful direct view of kirkjufell. The couches and beds were so comfortable and the tv had cable which was a welcomed surprise. The kitchen was modern and we were able to cook a full meal. It was well stocked with things like oil and spices which you might not buy.

Located 6 km from Stykkishólmur, Helgafell provides a garden and free WiFi. All rooms feature a flat-screen TV with cable channels and a private bathroom. The place is a part of the Helgafell, which is a mountain top with significance in the Norse mythology. The house is neat and clean with very helpful owner. The highlight is definitely Morley, the host's dog who is so friendly that he not only visited us during the night and morning but actually accompanied us,together with another black Labrador, when we hiked the Helgafell hill. All these made a very special and warm stay.

Set on a farm 8 km from Grundarfjördur, this modern guest house offers a 9-hole golf course, plus free Wi-Fi and parking. Snæfellsjökull National Park is 40 minutes’ drive away. The amazing view from the cottage: unforgettable!

An absolutely amazing scenery. Big living room with superb look on the whole area. Quiet as a whistle. The kitchen is equipped with all the necessary cutlery should you want to cook something. A coffee machine with coffee is also there. WiFi and Smart TV present with RakutenTV for channels. Spacey bathroom. Bonus points: sheep, horses, a cat that will want to get inside the house to greet you and a lovely black dog that will want your snuggles in the morning :D

Located along the coastline, Við Hafið Guesthouse offers accommodation in Ólafsvík. Guests can benefit from free WiFi. Rooms feature either a view of the sea or mountains. Location was excellent, right on the harbour between two convenience stores and above the liquor mart. Guesthouse and rooms were awesome, very clean, the view from our room was unreal (corner room, with two huge windows, one on each outer wall that overlooked the ocean and the mountains). The rooms had its own radiator unit which you can control, multiple electrical outlets and it’s own sink and table/chairs. Kitchen area was very roomy with tons of windows as well; many tables and chairs.

This family run guesthouse sits scenically on the Snæfellsnes peninsula on Iceland’s western coast, and features views of the surrounding nature from all rooms, as well as free Wi-Fi. The kitchen is fabolous. Buffet with local dishes, e.g. 5 (five!) different fish dishes and an excellent fish soupe at the evening buffet. One of our best food experiences in Iceland
