The most beautiful place we have stayed from all of our 5 trips in Iceland. The buildings are brilliantly built, with a unique design, very nicely decorated, which goes beautifully with the surrounding nature. The road to go there is probably one of the most scenic road on the peninsula (VERY easy gravel road). The host couple are very friendly, helpful and we’ve had excellent conversation with them. On the night of our stay we’ve had a walk on their coastline, which is absolutely stunning. The breakfast is excellent, with some homemade products. If you have the opportunity to sleep there, go right ahead.

The location is out of this world beautiful, three cottages in the shore of a lake. Beautiful, secluded, super clean, amazing views. I wish we stayed longer (we only had 1 night, a family of three).

Set on a farm 8 km from Grundarfjördur, this modern guest house offers a 9-hole golf course, plus free Wi-Fi and parking. Snæfellsjökull National Park is 40 minutes’ drive away. The breakfast was really nice with beautiful view of Kirkjufell. Loved the mugs! 😍 And extra credit goes to the friendly staff. We forgot our backpack but the host found it, and delivered it to us in Reyjkjavik. That is really something above and beyond any expectations.
