Overall there wasn't anything missing from our stay at Thangkop. The rooms were big enough, the breakfast was amazing and cosy and it will be very difficult to find a better host than Wong. I had an excellent experience staying at Lhachik Guesthouse. I had only planned to stay for a few days prior to trekking, but do to an injury ended up staying for about weeks and am very happy I did. The owners are very welcoming and accommodating. They have a comfortable rooftop with great views and good chai is always available. Dinner is available at a reasonable price and is excellent. The rooms and facilities were clean and comfortable. It is located in a tranquil neighborhood within close walking distance to everything of interest. It will be the first place I look to stay next time I am in Leh.

Through Whatsapp, Jigmet gave us plenty of advice about all aspects of our trip in advance of our journey to Ladakh. We stayed in his family home for 3 days to acclimatise and 3 days at the end of our tour before we flew back to Delhi, and indeed, it really felt like home. It is located at walking distance to the town centre, yet it is in a quiet area. We stayed in 2 different bedrooms. Both were very spacious and clean, with an ensuite bathroom and many windows. The building features beautiful traditional wooden architectural sculptures. The bedrooms open to a lovely terrace where one can enjoy the sun on a lounge chair or a breakfast, lunch or dinner. Kunzes Angmo is a lovely motherly lady who cooks beautiful food. Bagerat is a young man who was always attentive to our needs, helpful and pleasant. Thank you all for your welcome. We miss you!

TRAVELLER NEST is situated in Deskit. There is an in-house restaurant and free private parking. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with an outdoor fireplace. Rooms were very clean and allowed lots of light. Location was good, Diskit not a large town but close to the market. Staff were friendly and hospitable. Very well priced.
