And 5 further walk from here you can get sharing or full taxi to go anywhere.

The list of positives of my 3 night stay at Thangkop House is a long one: Good wifi, hot showers (both of which are scarce in Ladakh), spacious, clean rooms with lovely views, seamless check-in process, hot tea and biscuits on arrival etc etc. But what made my stay at Thangkop House so memorable was the warmth, friendliness and helpfulness of the owners, Dolma and her son Wong. I had a million and one questions upon arrival as I needed help with planning my motorbike trip in Ladakh - not only did they patiently answer each question, but also organised my permits and motorbike for me, helped me plan the route, gave advice on the necessary provisions and stored my excess luggage during my 5 day trip. It is no exaggeration to say that were it not for them, my trip through Ladakh would not have been as memorable. Exceptional.

Not many guests, as most people stay at their larger location across the street. I originally booked 3 nights online, but stayed again after I returned from a trek and they changed me the same excellent rate I got online.

Featuring a garden, the guest house is close to several noted attractions, around 1.5 km from Shanti Stupa and around 900 metres from Main... my room was very cozy with a beautiful view of snow covered mountains and fields. My room was very clean with clean white sheets and quilts. Host was really helpful, she helped us with permits and cabs. overall the guest house has a very homely and cozy vibes.
