Buttermilk Lodge is 5 minutes' walk from Clifden town centre, so you can just park your car and easily walk to town. We stayed in BnB's almost exclusively during our 2 weeks in Ireland and the Buttermilk was hands down the best of all. The room was lovely, breakfast out of this world and easy walk to town.

The host was super nice and allowed us to check in a bit later so that we can complete our Kylemore Abbey tour for which I am really grateful! A beautiful property located just outside of the town of Clifden. The location was very peaceful and quiet. The owners breed Connemara ponies, and were proud to show them to us.

Situated in the picturesque village of Leenaun, the Portfinn Lodge offers views of the Maumturks Mountains. The house is on the southern shore of Killary Harbour, in the heart of Connemara. Arrived via ferry (then taxi) from Clare Island. Leenaun was a great location for us.
