With mountain views, Sumatra Orangutan Discovery Villa is situated in Bukit Lawang and has a restaurant, full-day security, bar, garden, sun terrace and picnic area. Our stay was great. The hosts organized a driver for us to pick us up from the airport in Medan. As it was our first accomodation in Indonesia on our vacation, we needed a sim card and they made sure the driver will stop at a sim card shop for us. We also did a jungle tour organized by them and we got to see lots of Orang-Utan and other animals. Unfortunately we could not raft the way back to our accomodation on the river since it rained beforehand and the guides decided it was not safe enough. We spent the last night singing songs together outside the accomodation while the host was playing the guitar which was pretty cool. Another bonus is the view on the jungle while lying in a hammock, right outside the room. We would definetly recommend staying here if you want to visit Bukit Lawang.

Set in Tuk Tuk in the Sumatra region, Juma cottages features a garden. There is an on-site restaurant and free private parking. The units in the guest house are equipped with a kettle. We loved our stay here! Pino, his family and the staff were all so welcoming and lovely! We ended up staying here longer than expected. The rooms were very big, clean and a great balcony to chill on! Food in the restaurant was tasty, bike rental was easy and the bikes were in great condition. One of our favourite stops during our trip :)

Nice big room, balcony with hammock, restaurant and bar area overlooking the river on the side of the village that has no motorbikes; one minute walk from the rickety bridge. Lovely friendly helpful people in the family that own the place. No problem storing luggage during trek and doing laundry on return. Happy days, thanks a lot team Sahnan.

Situated in Bukit Lawang, Sumatra Cheeky Monkeys features accommodation with seating area. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. I stayed at the place for 2 nights, had a great tour with two guides working with the cheeky monkey. We saw monkeys, Orangutans(my two guides found them after about 2 hours of Trekking in the jungle), turtle, insects, plants, did a great tour for one day. Including rafting for about +/- 50 Euros/USD. The food in the cheeky monkey is quite expensive compared to other places in bukit lawang but it was really good. It definitely a recommendation, try the Gado-Gado - a vegetarian food. Chris from Austria

A recently renovated guest house situated in Bukit Lawang, Kupu Kupu Garden Guest House & Cafe features a garden. This beachfront property offers access to a balcony. The location is chill, far away from noisy motorbikes. Also the friendliness of the staf. The hosts (Arif and Risky) were very entertaining and honest. They want you to have a good time and will do everything to make you feel at home. They organise good trustfull and knowledgeable guides for the jungle trek and transport. Highly recommend it. We absolutely loved the laid back jungle spirit of Kupu Kupu Garden.
