The place is beautiful! Very nice little villa with great staff, very hospitality and always there to help with a big smile, and they always have at least one staff that speaks good English there. We stay here only one night and have quite a lots of requirements as I am with my 4 years old, very picky on food kid, her main course is always steam white rice, can not eat anything that is spicy, even not black pepper, and I feel like the local taste is a bit too sweet for me, so I also require them to not make our food that sweet, and they really take all my special requirements!! They went thru the trouble to even make steam rice for my kid for breakfast, when taste the rice, I know they cook the rice just for her, I don’t think they have rice ready that early in the morning. The dinner they serve is so lovely and delicious, I love the steam rice that comes in a very elegant little bamboo basket, and the eggplant, I would say it’s the most delicious eggplant I ever have other then the Eggplant casserole from Guangdong. I had the same dish in another local restaurant, and it’s so spicy that I can not taste any other flavors. Do try the dinner here, not that it’s cook with fancy food, but the cooking and the dining experience, it’s really worth it. And of cause there’s the view, it has a beautiful sunset and sunrise over mountains. The owner’s choice on the furniture and tableware is also very nice, I just love everything there. 真的很喜欢这个地方，绿田每3个月长一次，所以不是什么时候来都有哦，想打卡绿田的要做好不一定有的心里准备。这里真心物超所值，感觉服务比五星级酒店都贴心，但是乡间小villa，也不要用五星级酒店的标准要求房间和用具，房间地板有些起翘，但是擦的很干净，能在屋里赤脚走，能感觉到owner已经很用心选择用品和所有器具，员工们服务都超级用心的，真的很值得住。

My third time here. The service is excellent. Foods are great, with lots of options to choose from, and the portion is super generous. FANTASTIC breakfast! Feels like a queen on a mini banquet. The villa looks very lovely, got a feel of staying in Central Java's traditional house. It is also very comfortable inside, with modern amenities. The AC is cold, helps to cool down if there is any heatwave. Love the shower with the plants and stone wall too. Swimming pool is clean and has a nice size. There are activities to choose from, arranged by the resort. They can also arrange transport to the city center or airport. Staffs are super helpful and knowledgeable. All and all good value for money. Great place to unwind. Resort is beautifully designed.

Guesthouse 44 was my second home for a week in Purwokerto. The room was not spacious, but it had all necessary appliances and good air conditioning. A double room was just enough for my luggage, so I suggest if you travel with a partner, get a bigger room, the price is really affordable. The bathroom might surprise you, because it has no sink, just a shower, and no mirror, which is somewhat inconvenient. The room was sparkling clean, the bed sheets and the towels smelled amazing, it was regularly cleaned and supplied with bottled water every day. As a foreigner, you might get some special treatment, as the managers are really caring and put in a lot of effort to be of best service. The breakfast is abundant, if you don't like the local style, they'll prepare you some pancakes, omelette and steamed vegetables, so as to make sure you don't go out hungry. It is a good idea to bring some small present for the lady and her husband who run the hotel (they are about 60) - it will make their day. At their place you will surely feel as a part of a big family. Please bear in mind, that although the hotel is near the city center, you cannot walk in Purwokerto, since the streets are bustling with cars and motorcycles and there are no sidewalks for pedestrians. Walking is really dangerous, so better take a taxi. And speaking of taxies, I can recommend this nice young taxi driver in Jakarta, working for the Bluebird company, who speaks perfect English and is a very honest and helpful person: +62 852-1258-2235 (Willy). You may contact him on WhatsApp in advance, and he'll pick you up at the airport, without an extra fee. I had to bargain with many taxi drivers when I arrived in Jakarta in order to get an almost fair price, while this one trusts his meter, so no need to worry. Good luck with your adventure!
