Offering garden views, The Stable Yard @ Manor Bank Cottage is an accommodation set in Beaulieu, 27 km from Southampton Guildhall and 28 km from Southampton Cruise Terminal. Being tucked away with just a couple of horses for neighbours, in a stylish and immaculately clean studio, a stones throw from the heathland was perfect. We were asked about dietary requirements in advance and just hoped we might get some nondairy milk, we got so much more - mushrooms, bread, jam, marmite, plant based butter (not marg), cereal, granola, berries, orange juice, tea and coffee and all good quality (Waitrose). Honestly excellent :)

Situated in Basingstoke and with Jane Austen's House Museum reachable within 24 km, Bartons Mill Pub and Dining features a garden, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi and a bar. It was in a very pretty setting, not far from Basingstoke. It had a lovely pub/restaurant onsite, where we had dinner and then breakfast (which was included) the next morning. The location was quiet and relaxing and the staff, friendly and welcoming.

Situated in Andover, 12 km from Highclere Castle, The Jack Russell features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. Breakfast was excellent. We loved that we could see sheep from our back window. Although we didn't use it, there was a large fire place in the courtyard to be enjoyed by all. Amazing Inn. Would highly recommend.

Wonderful of Christine to share fish she had personally caught and arranged to be smoked. The fish was good but the context made it great!
